We Were Made to Multiply

INTRODUCTION

From the very beginning—God never created anything just to exist… He created everything with the potential to multiply.

“Be fruitful and multiply.” [Genesis 1:29 | Genesis 9:10] Not survive… multiply. Not maintain… multiply. Not stay the same… multiply.

Because everything God creates… carries seed.

And the Bible says, “the seed is in itself.” [Genesis 1:11-12] That means whatever God made—it already has within it the power to become more than it is right now.

And here’s the truth you’ve got to grab today:

If God designed everything to multiply… then He did not make an exception when He made YOU.

You were not created just to attend… Not just to receive… Not just to sit…

You were created to multiply.

SCRIPTURE

2 Timothy 2:1–2 NKJV

You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Paul → Timothy → Faithful men → Others also

Four generations… in one verse.

That’s not addition… that’s multiplication.

That’s not just church growth… that’s Kingdom expansion.

MESSAGE

It’s Inside You

The problem is not that you don’t have it… The problem is you haven’t activated it.

Because Scripture keeps repeating the same truth:

1 Corinthians 3:16 - “The Spirit of God dwells in you”

Colossians 1:27 - “Christ in you, the hope of Glory”

Philippians 2:13 - “It is God who works in you”

2 Timothy 1:16 - “Stir up the gift of God in you”

Everything you need to multiply… is already inside you.

An acorn doesn’t look like much… But inside that acorn is a forest.

And some of you are looking at your life saying, “I don’t have enough… I’m not ready… I’m not qualified…”

But Heaven is saying:

You’re not lacking—you're loaded.

You’re not empty—you’re carrying something eternal.

Romans 8:11 says the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead… lives in you.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

So hear me clearly:

If resurrection power is in you… then multiplication is not optional—it’s inevitable.

But only…IF YOU STIR IT UP!

Don’t Despise Small Beginnings

The enemy can’t stop the seed… So he tries to get you to despise it.

Zechariah 4:10 NKJV

For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

Because if he can convince you it’s small… You’ll never plant it.

And here’s the danger:

You can’t multiply what you minimize.

Some of you are waiting for something big… While God is watching what you do with something small.

Small obedience

Small opportunities

Small moments

One person

Luke 16:10 NKJV

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

But hear this:

God doesn’t need something big—He just needs something surrendered.

And here’s the principle you need to know:

Nothing multiplies in your hand… it multiplies in the ground.

That means:

You’ve got to get planted

You’ve got to get rooted

You’ve got to stay consistent

Stop digging yourself up every time it gets uncomfortable.

Growth requires commitment. Multiplication requires consistency.

Be a Multiplier

One oak tree can produce millions of acorns over its lifetime.

One… becomes many. Many… becomes more. More… becomes a forest.

That’s how the Kingdom works.

Start with one

Double every day for 30 days

You’ll end up with $5,368,709.12

But here’s the hard truth:

If nobody is following you… you’re not multiplying yet.

CALL TO ACTION

Recognize What’s In You

Stop downplaying what God placed inside of you.

Stop saying: “I can’t” “I’m not ready” “I don’t know enough”

God already settled that when He put His Spirit in you.

Commit to the Process

You don’t need a new word.

You don’t need a new opportunity.

You need to stay planted long enough to grow.

Consistency is your breakthrough.

Start Multiplying

Not next year.

Not when you feel ready.

This week.

Find one person.

Pray with them.

Call them.

Teach them.

Walk with them.

You don’t have to know everything—just share what you’ve been given.

CLOSING

[Hold up the acorn]

This… looks small.

But inside this… is a tree. Inside that tree… is thousands more. Inside those… is a forest.

And some of you… have been holding something small… Talking about it like it’s nothing…

When Heaven is shouting:

DON’T DESPISE THE ACORN!

Who’s ready to stop sitting… …and start multiplying?

Right now—ask God:

“Who is my one?”

Not ten. Not twenty.

One.

And before you leave this room today— I want you to have a name in your spirit.

Because this is the shift:

We’re not just going to be a church that gathers… We’re going to be a church that multiplies.
