Along the Path
Along the Path
Our task is to share the God’s Word with the lost.
1 Corinthians 3:6 “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Satan’s goal is to keep people from understanding God’s Word.
2 Corinthians 4:3–4 tells us that Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers.
Rocky Ground
Rocky Ground
True believers endure suffering and persecution.
Proverbs 12:3 “No one is established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous will never be moved.” (Romans 5:1-6, James 1:2-3, and 1 Peter 1:3-7)
True believers endure in the faith.
Matthew 24:13 “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” (See Colossians 1:21-23)
Those who fall away prove that their faith wasn’t genuine.
1 John 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.”
John 15:6 “If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.”

The love of worldly pursuits prevent many people from truly repenting and believing in Christ.
See 1 Timothy 6:9–10...
1 John 2:15–16 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”
Faith that doesn’t produce good works is not saving faith.
James 2:14 “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?”
James 2:17 “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
Good Soil
Good Soil
Those who truly trust in Christ are truly changed.
John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Those who are truly changed produce good fruit.
Matthew 12:33 ““Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit.”
See Matthew 3:8-10… (Godly sorry leads to repentance. Repentance is a change of mind about sin and a change of mind about Christ.)
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Believers produce good fruit because of God’s work in their lives.
See Ezekiel 36:25-27...
Galatians 5:22–23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Philippians 1:6 “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
