Glory, Fire, Breaking Chains! Delcare!

1. The Glory of the Lord surrounds me! Luke 2:9 “Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified,”

The Glory of the Lord shone around them!

2. The fire of God consumes me! Luke 3:16 “John answered their questions by saying, “I baptize you with* water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.*”

Jesus will baptize you with Holy Ghost and Fire!

3. All chains are broken off me! Acts 12:7 “Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.”

Encountering God’s glory is Light and Easy!

When the prophet Elisha is asked to seek God’s direction for the kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom, he first calls for a musician. As the music plays, the hand of the Lord comes upon him, and he delivers a prophetic word.

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.”

Whatever your Moabites are this weekend thy are defeated!

Transforms You! 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

What does the actualy Glory do?

Where does His Glory go?

These are all questions we have.

All the world is longing for an encounter! longing to experience God’s Glory!

What does it look like whe the Glory of the Lord surrounds us?

1. Manifested Presence of God “And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Glory: when we think about God’s glory…..

Let’s look into David bring back the Ark:

First attempt on a new cart failed and Uzzah struck down.

The people of Israel gathered outside the house of Obed‑Edom.

For three months the Ark of the Covenant had rested in Obed‑Edom’s home, and everyone knew it.

His household flourished. His crops grew stronger. His family prospered. It was clear to everyone: the presence of God had blessed the house where the Ark rested.

David had learned hard lessons from the first attempt. No carts. No shortcuts. No inventions. Just obedience.

David stood before the priests and Levites—men freshly washed and consecrated. Their garments were clean. Their hearts were prepared. They knew better than anyone what had gone wrong before. And they were determined not to repeat it.

The Kohathites stepped forward—the only clan permitted to carry the Ark. They lifted the poles, fitting them carefully through the rings and took six steps and then King David commanded them to stop.

A priest brought forward a strong bull—its hide glistening in the morning light. Another priest led a fat, healthy young animal beside it.

Right there on the road—between the sixth step and the seventh—the priests offered a sacrifice.

It was Israel saying: “Lord, we will obey You this time. We will honor You. We will welcome Your presence back into our midst.”

As the smoke lifted, so did the sound of music. Strings thrummed. Cymbals rang. Trumpets blasted triumphantly. Voices rose in worship.

David himself—wearing a simple linen ephod, not a king’s robe—began to dance. It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t dignified. It wasn’t formal. It was joy. Pure, unashamed joy before the God who had chosen Israel as His own.

God was moving with His people again. And the Ark—the symbol of His presence—began its journey into Jerusalem, carried the right way, honored the right way, celebrated the right way.

Step after step. Song after song. Sacrifice behind them, blessing ahead of them.

David danced. The Levites carried. The priests blew their trumpets. And the people rejoiced all the way into the city where God had chosen to place His name.

Jerusalem would never be the same. Israel would never be the same. Because that day the presence of God came home.

You can miss the Glory but be in the room and not even notice.

You can miss handle the Glory of God.

Flesh cannot abide in the prescence of God’s glory even today!

The only reason be are not vapourized like Uzzah is becasue of the Blood of Jesus Christ!

The Glory will only surround us if we are inthe Glory, whe we are in Christ!

Understanding who we are in Christ is the most important part of succeeding as a believer.

Most churches today will help get you saved, but that is where they stop.

There is more for us I the glory!

They leave you crying at the foot of the cross. That’s important but only the first step.

We must be skillful, and to do that we need to know who we are in Christ.

Not who we are in the flesh, but in Christ.

God is good! God is the only source of goodness, all good comes from God, nothing we can do can make him any “gooder” so why do we try?

What Christ accomplished on the cross made it possible for us enter into His goodness.

Christ in you gives you boldness, authority, and fellowship with the Father.” - EW Kenyon

Christ in you makes you a master over sin, sickness, and fear.” - John G Lake

Lets look to Ephesians to see who we are in Christ:

Ephesians 1:17-23

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

• First time Glory is mentioned in the bible its talking about material assets. (Stuff)

“And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.” ‭‭Gen 31:1 based on biblical story of Jacob and Laban, Genesis 29–31

Jacob fled to his uncle Laban’s home and agreed to work seven years to marry Rachel, only to be deceived into marrying Leah first and then working another seven years for Rachel.

Jacob continued serving Laban, Laban repeatedly changed the terms of Jacob’s wages.

Eventually Jacob proposed that he would keep only the speckled, spotted, and dark‑colored sheep and goats, a plan Laban agreed to because it seemed unlikely to benefit Jacob.

But through God’s blessing, Jacob’s flocks increased dramatically, making him wealthy despite Laban’s attempts to cheat him. Tensions grew, and Jacob secretly left with his family and possessions; when Laban pursued him, the two ultimately confronted each other, made a covenant of peace, and parted ways.

THE GLORY OF THE LORD SURROUNDS ME!

Psalm 8:3–6, NKJV When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,

The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,

4What is man that You are mindful of him,

And the son of man that You visit him?

5For You have made him a little lower than the angels,

And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

6You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;

You have put all things under his feet, 

Psalm 8:5 New Living Translation - 5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God[a]

    and crowned them[b] with glory and honor.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew,  (Romans 8:28–29, NKJV)

Moses and God in the rock: Exodus‬ ‭33:18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.”

Moses interceded for Israel after the golden calf incedent Exodus 33:12–13

Moses desired a deeper understanding of God’s character so that he could lead Israel faithfully. Exodus 33:13

God promised His presence would go with Moses. Exodus 33:14

Moses requested to see God’s glory Exodus 33:18

God declared that divine goodness would pass before Moses. Exodus 33:19

God explained that no human could see the divine face and live, so Moses would be shielded. Exodus 33:20–23

God physically sheltered Moses while divine goodness passed by. Exodus 33:21–22

God revealed divine goodness through mercy, grace, patience, love, faithfulness, and justice. Exodus 34:5–7

Upon experiencing God’s goodness, Moses bowed down and worshipped the LORD. Exodus 34:8–9

God is a good God! We must first comprehend this!

Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ.” ‭‭

WHAT CHANGES FOR US WHEN WE ARE SURROUNDED BY THE GLORY?

His Glory Prepares the way!: ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

His Glory Gives you Direction: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Ephesians 1:17

His Glory Gives Protection for the path: 1 Peter 5:8-11 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus and the Glory:

2 Peter 1:17 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Luke 9:27-36 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. 30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: 31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

Hebrews 1:3-4 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

1 Peter 1:7-8 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory

Closing for the glory of the Lord surrounds me:

We must stay in the Glory,

Others will see the Glory not us.

There is divine protection in the glory

when we declare the Glory surrounds us we it is not a request it is a realization of who we are and where we are.

Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬-‭18‬ ‭KJV “And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” ‭‭

Salvation: Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Holy Ghost: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:39 “This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away*—all who have been called by the Lord our God.””
