When you prioritize spiritual growth, every other area of your life grows as a result.

We are living in a generation obsessed with growth: Personal development, Career advancement, Self-improvement
But here’s the problem: Many people are growing in life… but not growing in God.

You can build a successful life while having a shallow spiritual foundation.

Spiritual growth is not one part of your life, it is the source of growth for every part of your life.

Spiritual Growth Is a Command, Not an Option

2 Peter 3:18 ESV
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

“But grow…”

Spiritual growth is expected, not optional.

Peter doesn’t suggest growth, he commands it.

There is no neutral in the Christian life: You are either growing or drifting

Many believers are saved… but stagnant
Am I intentionally growing, or just spiritually coasting?

If you’re not pursuing growth, you’re settling for stagnation.

Spiritual Growth Happens Through Relationship, Not Just Information

2 Peter 3:18 ESV
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge…”

It’s not just about learning about Jesus, it’s becoming like Him.

“Grace” = living dependent on God, not on yourself

“Knowledge” = relationally & experiential knowing

You can know Scripture and still not know Christ deeply

Stop confusing spiritual activity with spiritual growth.

Attending church ≠ growing Hearing sermons ≠ growing Growth happens when truth is applied and lived

Spiritual growth is not about what you know, it’s about who you’re becoming.

Spiritual Growth Produces Transformation

(Not Just Improvement)
Romans 12:2 ESV
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

“Be transformed…”

Personal growth improves behavior. Spiritual growth transforms identity.

The world teaches behavior modification God produces inward transformation

Real change starts in the mind and heart

Self-help: “Fix your habits” Scripture: “Renew your mind”

Am I just trying to improve my life… or allowing God to transform me?

You don’t need a better routine, you need a renewed mind.

Spiritual Growth Produces Fruit in Every Area

Matthew 6:33 ESV
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

When you grow spiritually, growth spills into every area.

You think better (personal growth) You lead better (professional growth) You love better (relational growth)

Ask yourself: “Have I been focusing more on external success than internal formation”?

Healthy spiritual roots produce visible life results.
