I. Sin entered the world through one man

A. We inherited the sinful nature

1. It is not learned

2. It is blatant rebellion against God

3. It is the knowledge of good and evil

II. Death

A. It is the result of sin

1. Spiritual death

Result in us being separated from God

Physical death is the result of a body subject to sin

Because of sin death still reigned from Adam to Moses

III. Law

A. It is the commands of God to humanity

The 10 commandments

It has the power to convict and condemn the perpetrator

It is powerless to change the heart

It awakens the desire to break the law
