Send the rain

Hosea 10:12 “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground: For it is time to seek the Lord, Till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”
Hosea calls Israel to cultivate qualities rooted in God’s nature—righteousness and loving-kindness—which form the foundation of their covenant relationship with the Lord.1 The verse employs agricultural imagery to convey this spiritual transformation: just as farmers prepare soil and sow seeds to gain a harvest, God’s people must break up the hardened ground of their hearts and plant righteousness with the expectation of reaping the qualities that flow from intimacy with God.1
The righteousness Hosea demands isn’t merely moral behavior but covenant faithfulness—a return to the relationship God established with His people.2 Breaking fallow ground represents the difficult work of spiritual renewal; just as unworked soil requires intensive labor before it becomes fruitful again, Israel’s religious life—which had deteriorated—demands strenuous effort to restore.2 The exhortation calls the people to seek God through faith and repentance.2
The verse presents a reciprocal promise: if Israel sows righteousness by returning to covenant loyalty, they will reap God’s steadfast love.2 God will respond by raining down His righteousness, enabling the people to harvest the blessings that accompany covenant fidelity.1 Yet this appeal arrives as a final opportunity—after urging this new lifestyle, Hosea warns of devastating consequences if the people persist in iniquity, social injustice, and military reliance, consequences that would ultimately bring the northern kingdom’s end.1
Sow to yourselves in righteousness
Proverbs 11:8 “The righteous is delivered out of trouble, And the wicked cometh in his stead.”
We need a time of refreshing
It is time for us to receive a fresh anointing
and allow our gifts touch other peoples lives
recovery can be long and trying but we have a delivering God
It is time to let Him work
but you have to let Him in
and when he comes in restoration takes place
Joy is overflowing
peace is conquering
I am being lifted up
and those things that have stood in my way has no power anymore
I’m glad God is on my side
I can now say mountain be thou removed and be cast in the sea
