1. We must be gracious and accepting of others’ opinions (14:1, 3).
2. We must seek to honor the Lord in everything we do and allow others to do the same (14:6–8).
3. We must do nothing that would cause others to sin, even if it means restraining our liberties (14:15, 21).
4. Whatever others feel free to do, we must not go against our own conscience (14:23).
Reading Assignment: Read
Chapters 14-15 cover living the New Life in context of relationships with other believers. The concept of strong and weak believers and the appropriate response is discussed.
When making decisions about behaviours that are not clearly addressed in Scripture, what would be the order of priority in deciding if it’s acceptable, and when/where to practice it?
List the priorities of who comes first from first to last:

These values are best represented by the following passages:
Matthew 22:37-39
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
(NIV) — 37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
(NIV) — 8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Memory Verse:
(NIV) — 7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
