No matter our circumstances, we are called to persistently proclaim the Gospel from all of Scripture and entirely trust God with the results.
Slide 2: Main Point I
I. A Persistent Presentation (Acts 28:23a)
I. A Persistent Presentation (Acts 28:23a)
Paul is under house arrest, yet he turns his living room into a headquarters for the Kingdom of God.
He didn’t wait for an ideal pulpit or a perfect season; he leveraged his present pain for Gospel gain.
Notice the text: "from dawn to dusk." He literally exhausted himself talking about Jesus.
Missional urgency doesn't clock out at 5 PM; it burns deep in the bones of a disciple.
Illustration cue: Think of that stubborn friend or family member you've been witnessing to for years. Don't you dare quit now.
Are we leveraging our own living rooms, breakrooms, and backyards for the Gospel?
Persistence means opening your mouth to share, even when the soil of the culture feels rock-hard.
Bridge: We must match Paul's relentless dedication to sharing the message, but we also have to make sure we are sharing the right message.
Slide 3: Main Point II
II. A Profound Proof (Acts 28:23b)
II. A Profound Proof (Acts 28:23b)
Paul didn’t rely on clever stories or political opinions; he anchored his argument in the Word of God.
He taught from the "Law of Moses and the Prophets"—showing them that the entire Old Testament is a roadmap to Jesus.
Church, our job isn’t to invent a catchy new message; it is to illuminate the Master.
Application cue: Are you swimming deep enough in your own Bible study to confidently point your neighbor to Christ?
True discipleship demands that we build a deep, unshakeable well of biblical truth.
Every single story in Scripture, from Genesis to Malachi, whispers the name of Jesus Christ.
We must be equipped, ready to gently and patiently persuade others with the absolute truth of Scripture.
Bridge: When we faithfully and biblically lift up the name of Jesus, we can expect a response—but we must be prepared for the reality of human hearts.
Slide 4: Main Point III
III. A Predictable Partition (Acts 28:24)
III. A Predictable Partition (Acts 28:24)
Look closely: the greatest missionary who ever lived preached a perfect sermon, yet he had a split audience.
The text is honest: "Some were persuaded... but others did not believe."
Brothers and sisters, we are strictly responsible for the sharing; God Almighty is responsible for the saving.
Do not let the world's rejection of the Gospel derail your joy or stall your mission.
Illustration cue: Just like Jesus taught in the parable of the sower, the same exact seed falls on very different types of soil.
In God's economy, our success is measured by our faithful obedience, not by our immediate fruit.
Keep casting the seed, keep pleading with the lost, and leave the harvest in the sovereign hands of God.
Bridge: As we leave this building today, let us carry the unshakeable confidence that our duty is simply to declare the truth, trusting the Holy Spirit to awaken the dead.
