INTRODUCTION: The Outline of the End Times

Daniel’s Seventy Weeks – The Prophetic Framework

Text: Daniel 9:24–27
End-time prophecy revolves around God’s covenant dealings with Israel.
Your outline is strong—let’s deepen it with clarity:

The Prophetic Timeline Includes:

The death of Jesus (Dan. 9:26)
The destruction of the temple (fulfilled in Destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD)
The restoration of Israel as a nation
The war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38–39)
The rebuilding of the temple (2 Thess. 2:4)
The covenant of the Antichrist (Dan. 9:27)
The abomination of desolation (Matt. 24:15)
The return of Jesus to the Mount of Olives (Zech. 14:4)
Christ’s reign from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:1–4)

Key Theological Anchor

End-time prophecy is not random—it is covenant-based.
Psalm 132:13–14 (NKJV)“For the LORD has chosen Zion… This is My resting place forever…”
👉 Teaching Insight (Word of Faith): God’s covenant is not symbolic—it is binding, literal, and eternal. What God promised Abraham (Genesis 12:1–3) still governs prophetic fulfillment.

THE DIVISION OF THE SEVENTY WEEKS

1. The First Division – 7 Weeks (49 Years)

Daniel 9:25
Begins with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem
Fulfilled through Cyrus the Great (Ezra 1:1–6)
Confirmed in Isaiah prophecy (Isaiah 44:28–45:5)
👉 Spiritual Insight: God prophesied the name of Cyrus over 100 years before his birth—this shows:
God rules over kings
God orchestrates history for covenant purposes
Quote: “God is not reacting to history—He is directing it toward His covenant purposes.” — Kenneth E. Hagin, Understanding the Anointing

2. The Second Division – 62 Weeks (434 Years)

Daniel 9:25–26
Total: 69 weeks (483 years)
Culminates in Messiah being “cut off”

Prophetic Precision

Start: Nisan 1, 444 B.C.
End: Triumphal Entry (Luke 19:28–40)
👉 This is one of the most precise prophecies in Scripture
Luke 19:42 (NKJV) “If you had known… the things that make for your peace!”
👉 Jesus held them accountable for not recognizing prophetic timing
Quote: “Jesus fulfilled prophecy with exactness to prove that He is the Messiah beyond all doubt.” — Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, Jesus

3. The Third Division – The Final Week (7 Years)

Daniel 9:27
This is the future Tribulation Period.

Key Events:

Antichrist makes covenant with Israel
Peace and protection promised
Midpoint betrayal (3.5 years)
2 Thessalonians 2:3–4 (NKJV) “…he sits as God in the temple of God…”

THE ANTICHRIST AND THE MIDPOINT

At 3.5 years:
Covenant is broken
Sacrifices stop
Abomination of desolation begins
Matthew 24:15–21
👉 This marks the Great Tribulation

Pentecostal Insight

This is not symbolic—it is literal, global, and spiritual warfare at its peak
Quote: “The devil’s final attempt at dominion will be crushed by the returning Christ.” — Smith Wigglesworth, Ever Increasing Faith

THE END OF THE 70TH WEEK

Judgments poured out (Revelation 15–16)
Two witnesses minister (Revelation 11)
Armageddon battle (Revelation 19)
👉 Ends with:
Antichrist destroyed
Jesus returns in glory
Zechariah 14:4 “His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives…”

ISRAEL: THE PROPHETIC CLOCK

“Israel is the thermometer of the end times.”

Modern Fulfillment

The rebirth of Israel in Establishment of the State of Israel (1948) is prophetically significant.
Jeremiah 32:37–38 (NKJV) “I will gather them… and bring them back to this place…”

Quote:

“The reestablishment of Israel is not political—it is prophetic.” — David Jeremiah, The Book of Signs

THE GOSPEL IN THE END TIMES

The Full Gospel Message

Acts 2:32–35
The Gospel is not just:
Jesus died ✔
Jesus rose ✔
It is ALSO:
Jesus is seated in authority
Jesus is interceding
Jesus is pouring out the Spirit
1 John 2:1 (NKJV) “…we have an Advocate with the Father…”
👉 Word of Faith Insight: Because Christ is seated in authority:
The believer also operates in authority (Ephesians 2:6)

The Ongoing Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:38–39
👉 The promise is:
For you
Your children
All who are afar off
This includes TODAY
Quote: “The Holy Ghost was not given for a moment—He was given for a movement.” — T.L. Osborn, Healing the Sick

THE CALL OF PETER – THE URGENCY OF SALVATION

Acts 2:40 “Be saved from this corrupt generation.”
👉 This is still the call today.

UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES WE ARE IN

The Condition of the World

You noted:
Fear
War
Injustice
This reflects: 👉 Fallen human nature (Romans 5:12)
Quote (Church History): After World War II, Albert Einstein observed global instability increasing—confirming what Scripture already declared about humanity apart from God.

THE CHURCH AGE: THE LAST DAYS

Acts 2:16–21
We are living in: 👉 The age of:
Outpouring
Prophecy
Power

Pentecostal Emphasis

This is not a powerless waiting period—it is: 👉 A Spirit-empowered harvest season
Acts 1:8 (NKJV) “You shall receive power…”

COMPARISON: END-TIME VIEWS

Dispensational View (Your Primary Teaching)

Israel and Church are distinct
70th week is future
Literal tribulation
Literal Antichrist
Literal return of Christ

Non-Dispensational (Amillennial/Postmillennial)

Many prophecies seen as symbolic
Church replaces Israel (replacement theology)
Tribulation often seen as historical or ongoing
👉 Balanced Insight: While other views spiritualize prophecy, dispensationalism preserves the literal fulfillment of God’s covenant promises to Israel.

APPLICATION – MAKING THIS PRACTICAL

1. Live with Urgency

Jesus is coming back
The timeline is advancing

2. Walk in Authority

Christ is seated → You are seated (Eph. 2:6)

3. Be Spirit-Filled

The last days are marked by outpouring

4. Be a Witness

Like Peter: “Be saved from this generation”

5. Stay Anchored in Covenant

God keeps His Word—every prophecy will be fulfilled

CLOSING THOUGHT

The same God who:
Counted the 483 years to Christ’s first coming
Restored Israel exactly as promised
👉 Will certainly complete the final 7 years
Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) “He who promised is faithful.”
