I am Established in Christ
Setup: Crucified on the cross, Disciples shock, Jesus placed in the Tomb, it is now the 3rd day! The stone is rolled away from the tomb where Jesus lay! The followers of Jesus do not know where He is, because He has risen!
19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

Given Power 1 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Picking up at around John 20:14 Mary wanted to know where was Jesus and what happen to His body? v13b “they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Jesus could have rebuked her, you should be tougher than that, you need to hold it together better emotionally, not our saviors style, He settles her. Reveals Himself to her, meets her where she is comforts her
Cast your cares 1 Peter 5:7 “7 Cast all your anxiety (cares) on him because he cares for you.”
We think it is our to carry, think we are being responsible adults
My Kids all started thinking they need to cast on me, then they got older, oh and I conditioned them as an earthly father
24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Could have said Thomas you are no longer one of my followers, you blew it, missed your chance, He didn't label Him doubting Thomas, we call him that
He went on settled by Christ
Jesus love you right where you are, flaws and all, inconsistencies and all, He does not loves everything we do, as is no joke when it comes to Sin and its cost, but is madly in Love with you.

I am perfected in Jesus
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Peter Warming himself 18 Now the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself.
Peter disowns (71 Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know this Man of whom you speak!” 72 A second time the rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny (disown) Me three times.” And when he thought about it, he wept.
After Jesus was crucified and placed in the Tomb Peter goes back to work, in essence, he returned to his old life
Story of young man I missed, God sent someone else
Jesus rolls up on Peter because it is restoration time! they caught 153 large fish after catching nothing
9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead. (Some of the last fish Peter would ever catch) 15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” 17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”
Jesus is charging Peter with his purpose: Purpose for His people
25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you. 26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you (KJV: delt wondrously with you); never again will my people be shamed.
When we return and endure ourselves to God will perfect us: Repay the years as if he never lost it (often our fault, but His mercy), You will have plenty, call on His name, that He has worked wonders never be ashamed (someone may say shame on you, no God says Shame off you)
Purpose for His People: I am established, I am settled, I am perfected
