Gods creation

Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ,”

Intro

A couple of weeks ago man did something not done in 50 years

We went around the moon and back

In attempt to better map the back side of the moon

To build a base camp to make a mission to mars easier

Why

I guess just curiosity

What’s actually out there

And I thought about God creating this earth we live on

But not only it

How great thou art

The worlds thy hands have made

When we stop an break down the very first scripture of the Bible we see 7 truths that are true throughout the Bible

I mean look hear again at the tiny little crumbs in scripture that just point to its inspiration from God alone

7 we know is the number of completeness perfection divine fullness

And we can learn 7 truths from the very opening verse

Also in Hebrew 7 words are used to write the first verse

So let look at this verse

God exist

The first truth from this verse

And what everything else hinges on is that God exist

The first step in pleasing is to acknowledge he exist

Hebrews 11:6

“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

‭‭the first thing we must address is that God does exist

We are not here by chance

The watch maker

They call us stupid ignorant for having faith

How much faith does it take to to believe the science that there is no creator

Many of the most brilliant minds ever have came to conclusion that God does exist

Now some don’t know God but they conclude that their is a creator

God existed first

Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ,”

Hebrews 1:10-12

“And: In the beginning, Lord, you established the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands; they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like clothing; you will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like clothing. But you are the same, and your years will never end. ,”

‭‭God is not created neither is Jesus or the Holy Spirit

Which lead us to our 3rd truth

God is mysterious

The word used in the first verse points to our triune God

It’s the word Elohim

This is a plural word

But used in singular form pointing to the triune nature

And the Bible backs up that the Holy Spirit and Jesus existed always as God and were created afterwards

Genesis 1:2

“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.”

‭‭John 1:1-3

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.”

‭‭our Triune God exist an existed before creation

Today tomorrow and forever there an unchanging

God is the main character

Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ,”

HE is the subject of the first verb

The first action in the Bible and he is

The subject of more verbs than any other character in the Bible

You are not the center of the world

Idc what anyone says you were created as a child of God to bring and point glory back to God

Isaiah 43:7

“everyone who bears my name and is created for my glory. I have formed them; indeed, I have made them.””

‭‭why is God the main character bc without God you don’t exist number one

Without his love for you an sending his son you have no chance to heaven

He is the creator

Genesis 1:1

Is never used of a human

He was the only one who could do this

The one capable of this

He created Heaven and earth

Genesis 1:1

He didn’t simply remodel

Reconfigure

Or rearrange

He created

Brought to existence

Psalm 33:6

“The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all the stars, by the breath of his mouth.

33:9

For he spoke, and it came into being; he commanded, and it came into existence.”

‭‭Hebrew 11:3

“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.”

‭‭with him as creator of things that were unseen and unknown

The universe depends on him

Colossians 1:16-17

“For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.”

‭‭Isaiah 40:26

“Look up and see! Who created these? He brings out the stars by number; he calls all of them by name. Because of his great power and strength, not one of them is missing.”

‭‭all things depend on Gods sustaining

All things will praise him

Romans 8:19-22

“For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly, but because of him who subjected it — in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage to decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now.”

‭‭all people will praise him

Philippians 2:10-11

“so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow — in heaven and on earth and under the earth — and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

‭‭this one passage hold so much truth

And points that God is worthy of our praise

Revelation 4:11

“Our Lord and God, you are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because you have created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.”

‭‭he is worthy

So praise him

He created it all

And he loves his creation

Praise him bc he is worthy
