Introduction: thank you Lori and Kathrine
Scripture: Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
There are moments in life when we feel forgotten, overlooked, and unworthy.
But Calvary declares a different message—that when Jesus hung on that cross, He wasn’t just dying for the world… He had you on His mind. This song reminds us that His sacrifice was personal. Enjoy as the Pleasant View Community church Choir sings

1. “When He Was on the Cross”

——————————————————————————————————
The cross is more than a symbol—it is the centerpiece of our faith.
It stands as the dividing line between life and death, hope and despair, heaven and hell.
What looked like defeat became the greatest victory the world has ever known.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” ‘lady’s and gentleman….

2. “The Cross”

——————————————————————————————————
Introduction:
Early on that first Easter morning, sorrow filled the hearts of those who loved Him. But heaven had already declared victory. The stone was rolled away, and death was defeated. The grave could not hold the Son of God.
Scripture describes 2 Angles sharing the glorious news in : Luke 24:4–6 “… behold, two men stood by them in shining garme…, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen…

3. “Rise My Love”

——————————————————————————————————:
That first resurrection morning changed everything. What began in darkness and despair ended in victory and hope. The silence of the tomb was broken, and the promise of eternal life was declared for all who believe. Because of that morning, we have something to shout about today.
Scripture:
📖 Luke 24:3… “The Lord is risen indeed”

——————————————————————————————————:
It’s easy to talk about the cross in a distant way, but the truth is—it was our sin that placed Him there. Every nail, every stripe, every moment of suffering was endured out of love for us.
Scripture: Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; And with his stripes we are healed.” Doug Holler sings feel nails

5. “Feel the Nails”

——————————————————————————————————
Introduction:
They sealed the tomb. They set the guard. They thought it was over. But on the third day, Jesus did exactly what He said He would do—He rose from the dead in power and glory.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:20 “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”

7. Congregation – “Because He Lives”

Introduction: alter call
The resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate—it’s something we live . Because Jesus lives today, we have hope for tomorrow, strength for today, and assurance for eternity.
Scripture: John 14:19 “Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.”
On this final song because he lives we ask the congregation to help us sing
