First Baptist Church of Roselawn

We strive to glorify God by exalting the Savior, equipping the saints and extending Christ’s kingdom.

VISION

Ask, seek, and knock for God to develop us into a community of worshipers that bears much fruit as we live and proclaim the Gospel with faithfulness and passion.

VALUES

Values help us bridge the gap between a broad vision statement and a specific set of goals.  They help us focus on what is most important.
Loving God with all our hearts and loving people as ourselves. Preaching the truth and authority of God’s Word. Praying according to God’s Word led by His Holy Spirit. Proclaiming the life-changing message of the gospel. Shepherding individuals and families toward maturity in Jesus Christ. Resting in the completeness of God’s sovereignty. Doing all to the glory of God.

GOALS

EXALT: Pray and work toward ever greater magnification of God's worth by the exaltation of His Name in our corporate services.
EXALT: Design and implement methods and resources to aid in the development of personal and family worship between Sundays.
EQUIP: Clarify the unity among and increase congregational awareness of the scope of our equipping opportunities that range from Starting Point, to regular Sunday school and Adult Bible Fellowships, AWANA, FLOCKS, and small groups, to the four distinct emphases in our Ministry Training Academy, all toward establishing a culture of personal and corporate spiritual reproduction.
EQUIP: Pray toward, pursue, and encourage a biblically-rooted, Spirit-enabled, faith, obedience, and love that exhibits God's purpose for the church.
EVANGELIZE: Design and pursue evangelistic opportunities that facilitate a clear and present gospel witness in Warrenville, bridging any bridgeable gap between church and community.
EVANGELIZE: Design and implement a church planting model that produces, as God enables, one new or refreshed congregation every five years.
ATTEND TO INFRASTRUCTURE: As an ongoing effort, identify and give attention to at least the top three current needs that could enhance our ministry effectiveness.
