13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Who would do harm to someone who does Good?

Think about that question

We need to be clear there are people who do Good but they get torn down because of things that they have done that aren’t good.

Truth is that in this world there are people who don’t like to see good done. They may not agree with us.

Suffering can come but it is in that we do not fear their threats because we can remember who Jesus is in our lives.

It is a blessing for us to face suffering.

What does it mean for us to Revere Christ?

Deep Admiration or Respect.

Our faith is more than that it goes beyond that.

The Greek word can also mean to sanctify. To recognize the Holiness of it.

This doesn’t mean we make Christ more holy.

Christ is above all authorities in our lives.

Reel-I am leaving you and I was the most important thing in your life...

It is his authority that should lead us to be ready at all times.

This means education, study, growth but also humility

We must be able to speak but we do it with humility and Grace.

This isn’t a gotcha game its an opportunity to share the good news.

This doesn’t mean we are push overs but we are faithful servants.

We may not always know right then but we can grow to learn and be confident.
