I can Have Who I want, I’m the Prince.

Genesis 34:1–2 AV 1873
1 And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. 2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

Verse 1; Dinah the Daughter of Leah went exploring the new land and meet some of the girls in that land.

Verse 2; Shechem, the Prince of the country, Hamor the Hivite King of the land son. Shechem took her and raped her. He took her, and lay and defiled Dinah. This is the same; sexually assaulted her, or to violate; to rape; to shame; to afflict.” Here it means that Shechem violated or humiliated Dinah by raping her. Humble her is raping her (Deut. 22:29)

Genesis 34:4 AV 1873
4 And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.

Verse 4; Just because his father is king, He thinks he can do whatever to whoever he wants, including Dinah. This is why he said “Get me this damsel to wife”.

Genesis 34:5 AV 1873
5 And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.

Jacob heard about Shechem raping his daughter but the brothers was not aware yet.

Genesis 34:6 AV 1873
6 And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.

Then the father went to Jacob, not Shechem to speak with Jacob about buying Dinah from him.

Genesis 34:7 AV 1873
7 And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter; which thing ought not to be done.

The ones most upset was Simeon and Levi, Instruments of Cruelty. They must be scattered in the brothers of Israel. Ref. 49:5-7

Genesis 49:5–7 AV 1873
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; Instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. 6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; Unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: For in their anger they slew a man, And in their selfwill they digged down a wall. 7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; And their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.

You know you have some just can’t be together, they will burn down your house.

Genesis 34:8 AV 1873
8 And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.

The King comes to them like Dinah is property, a harlot. talking to them like he son raping her was nothing.

Genesis 34:9–12 AV 1873
9 And make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you. 10 And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade you therein, and get you possessions therein. 11 And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give. 12 Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Now Shechem ask them to forgive him in there eyes as if this he had to have her. But he will pay how much they are requiring of her, like property. But, remember the two brothers? Simeon and Levi, these are the main ones that are HOT. The Bible don’t say which ones spoke for the brothers but, I would bet it was one of them.

Genesis 34:13–17 AV 1873
13 And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister: 14 and they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us: 15 but in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised; 16 then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people. 17 But if ye will not hearken unto us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.

They are adding the lie about being uncircumcised, and must be circumcised to marry there sister and become one people.

Genesis 34:18–19 AV 1873
18 And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor’s son. 19 And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

The offer pleased the King and the Prince, and didn’t wait to put this off because he wanted Jacob’s daughter.

Genesis 34:20–22 AV 1873
20 And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying, 21 These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters. 22 Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.

All they have to do is be circumcised.

Genesis 34:23–24 AV 1873
23 Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us. 24 And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.

The King and the Prince made sure all the males in the country was circumcised.

But the third day is when the pain really sets in on circumcisions. Now Simeon and Levi the brothers never changed.

Genesis 34:25–29 AV 1873
25 And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males. 26 And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went out. 27 The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister. 28 They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field, 29 and all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.

These brothers went through the entire city killing all the males and took the wives, children, sheep, oxen and asses captives, spoils all.

Genesis 34:30–31 AV 1873
30 And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, amongst the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house. 31 And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with a harlot?
Deuteronomy 22:25 AV 1873
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

Simeon and Levi quoting the law:

Deuteronomy 20:14–18 AV 1873
14 but the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. 15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations. 16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: 17 but thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee: 18 that they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God.

You see God said Hivites and to take the spoilers
