Aked = bound = “The Binding of Isaac”
Time has passed, Isaac is neither boy nor man
God calls Abraham to sacrifice Isaac as a burnt offering to God
Abraham seeks to be obedient to God
God sends an angel to stop Abraham before he goes through with the sacrifice & provides a ram instead
Abraham and Isaac go back home
The Lord will provide.
We have food
We have protection
We have leadership
We have land
I don’t feel like I need anything, so what is it that the LORD is supposed to provide?
What is the application for me today of Jehovah Jireh?
Oh God our Father you are great and mighty, you are the creator and sustainer of all things.
We worship you for you are holy, and worth to be praised.
LORD as we endeavor to look into your Word this morning please give us insight, give us your Spirit so that we might understand these spiritual things.
We live lives of privilege God, you have blessed us!
So often we lose sight of our need for you as our personal Jehovah Jireh, expose to us today our needs and how you provide for us!
Many former trials will not supersede nor secure us from further trials; we have not yet put off the harness

How would we respond?
If God asked me to offer up my whatever this is to Him I don’t know if I could.
Spiritual sacrifices must thus be prepared for.
Those that do the will of God heartily will do it speedily; while we delay, time is lost and the heart hardened.
