WORD WASHING
The Lord is the one who is going ahead of you. He will be with you. He won’t abandon you or leave you. So don’t be afraid or terrified.”
Lord, even when your path takes me through

Before we worship today, remember:
Every morning God’s mercy never runs out, and every evening reveals His faithfulness.
None of us came into this place empty-handed—we came carrying needs, burdens, questions, and — hopes.
But no one who truly comes into His presence leaves empty.
In Him there is peace, strength, hope, and grace for every season.
His goodness has carried us farther than we realize, and His generosity has never run dry. So today…
Let’s lift our hearts and voices with gratitude.
Let worship rise from a people who know God who has been faithful again and again.

INTRO
This past week has been filled with celebrations—award assemblies, banquets, and graduations. Hours and hours of honoring achievement, applauding hard work, and recognizing milestones.
At first, the applause is loud, passionate, and full of energy. The room erupts with excitement. But as time goes on, the clapping slowly fades into rhythm… then routine… then obligation/duty.
And I can’t help but wonder if that pattern sometimes reveals something deeper about us.
Isn’t that how relationships can become?
Strong passion in the beginning.
Deep excitement during the honeymoon phase.
Then over time, the fire cools and routine takes over.
And if that can happen in earthly relationships, what about our relationship with Jesus Christ?
What about the One who saved us?
The One who forgave us?
The One who healed us, restored us, delivered us, and gave us new life?
Have we allowed routine to replace passion?
Have we allowed comfort to silence our testimony?
Have we allowed fear, distraction, or discouragement to keep us from sharing what Jesus has done in our lives?
Because the truth is, evangelism is not just a church program—it is the overflow of a heart that still burns for Jesus.
Last week we said true evangelism is:
• Bringing people from darkness into light
• Seeing lives transformed
• Watching people experience the new birth found only in Christ
• Leading people into spiritual growth and discipleship
That message is still true today.
Jesus still saves.
Jesus still heals.
Jesus still restores.
Jesus still changes lives.
And as a church that stands on the truth of God’s Word and the mission Christ gave His people, we believe the Holy Spirit still empowers believers today to carry the gospel with boldness, compassion, and power. The mission has not changed.

Jesus the same, yesterday, today and forever...
Jesus our savior
Jesus our baptizer
Jesus our healer
Jesus our soon coming king
But evangelism is not the end goal alone.
In 1 Timothy 2:4, Scripture says:
“Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
God does not simply want people to hear about Him—He wants them to truly know Him.
So the question we must ask ourselves is this:
?What is holding us back from helping people come to the knowledge of the truth?
(RE-ASK, ASK THE PEOPLE TO ANSWER)
Is it fear of rejection?
Fear of not knowing what to say?
Fear of being misunderstood?
Have we become too busy?
Too distracted?
Too comfortable?
Too silent?
The enemy would love for believers to keep their testimony hidden.
But Revelation declares that we overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.” Rev 12.11
Someone in our community is waiting to hear a story only you can tell.
Someone needs to hear how Jesus carried you through pain, addiction, loss, fear, failure, or hopelessness.
Your testimony may be the doorway God uses to reach a hurting heart this summer.
So as we prepare for outreach in our community, this is more than organizing events or filling calendars. This is a call to reawaken our first love for Christ and step into His mission.
What is your next step?
• Will you pray more intentionally for lost people?
• Will you invite someone to church?
• Will you share your testimony for the first time?
• Will you serve during outreach opportunities this summer?
• Will you ask the Holy Spirit to give you boldness again?
Church, this is our moment to move beyond routine Christianity.
May our worship be passionate.
May our love for people be genuine.
May our witness be bold.
And may our hearts once again burn with love for Jesus and compassion for the lost.
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice*; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.* 9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,* while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection,* and take delight in honoring each other.

ME 5-11-26
“I am with you always.” —Matthew 28:20
Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
What a comfort it is to know there is One who never changes and never leaves us. In a world where everything shifts, fades, and disappoints, Jesus remains steady and faithful. He is the solid rock in the middle of life’s storms.
So, my soul, do not place your deepest love and hope in things that wear out, fade away, or can be taken from you. Don’t build your life on the unstable foundations of this world. Instead, build your hope on Christ—the one foundation that will still stand when every storm has passed.
Store your treasures where they can never be lost. Place your whole heart in Jesus. Put your trust in His saving power, your confidence in His faithfulness, and your joy in His presence. When your life is anchored in Him, you can face loss without being destroyed by it.
Everything in this world eventually fades. Beauty fades. Possessions disappear. Life itself is brief. One day death will close the curtain on all earthly things. But how comforting it is to know that when every earthly light goes out, the light of Christ still shines.
Sooner or later, we all must walk through the river of death, leaving behind everything we once held onto. So give your heart to the One who will never leave you. Trust the Savior who will walk with you through death itself and safely bring you into eternal life with Him.
If your heart is heavy today, bring your burdens to Jesus. Tell your struggles to the Friend who stays closer than family. Place every concern into the hands of the One who can never be taken away from you. He will never abandon you, and He will never let go of those who belong to Him.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And His promise, “I am with you always,” is enough to sustain the soul even if everyone else walks away.

“And I will reveal myself to him.” —John 14:21
Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”
Jesus reveals Himself to His people in ways that go beyond simply reading about Him or hearing a sermon. Many believers can testify to moments when Christ drew especially near—bringing peace, comfort, joy, and assurance straight to the heart. When Jesus makes His presence known, it is like tasting a little bit of heaven on earth.
These encounters with Christ always produce fruit. First comes humility, because anyone truly close to Jesus becomes more aware of their need for Him, not more prideful. Second comes joy, because there is deep peace in God’s presence. Third comes holiness, because real fellowship with Christ changes the way we live.
It is not enough to speak of spiritual experiences; our lives should reflect the character of Jesus. Wherever Christ truly reveals Himself, humility, joy, and holiness will follow.

“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.” —Psalm 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
Christian, if you are walking through a dark season, remember that morning is coming. Lift your heart with the hope of Christ’s return and the promises of God. Be patient. The Lord has not forgotten you, and He will come at the right time.
No matter how heavy life feels right now, this season will not last forever. The troubles that press on you today will one day be replaced with joy. The burdens you carry now will give way to peace. The tears you shed in this life will not follow you into eternity.
Right now, your life may feel filled with hardship, worry, and exhaustion, but a day is coming when every sorrow will be healed. The thorns of suffering will be exchanged for a crown of glory. The hands worn down by struggle will one day rejoice in the presence of God.
When we finally stand with Christ, the trials that once seemed overwhelming will look small compared to the greatness of the joy He prepared for us. So keep moving forward in faith. No matter how dark the night becomes, morning is on the way.
For the believer, hope is never lost. Darkness is temporary, but God’s joy is eternal. Today may hold sorrow, but tomorrow belongs to the Lord. What comfort there is in knowing that even though weeping lasts for a night, joy is surely coming with the morning.

“Joint heirs with Christ.” —Romans 8:17
And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
Everything belongs to Jesus. He is the rightful heir over all creation, over heaven and earth, and over every eternal promise of God. Yet in His love, He shares His inheritance with His people. Through Christ, believers are welcomed into the family of God and made joint heirs with Him.
That means the glory of heaven, eternal life, the presence of God, and all the promises of eternity are not distant hopes alone—they are our inheritance in Christ. Every blessing He purchased becomes ours through His grace.
Jesus did not keep His victory for Himself. He shares it with those who belong to Him. He wore a crown of thorns so we could one day wear crowns of glory. He humbled Himself, suffered, and overcame sin and death so that we could reign with Him forever.
His throne, His kingdom, His joy, and His victory are shared with His people. Christ delights in bringing His children close to Him. He is not selfish with His glory; instead, He rejoices to see His people saved, restored, and welcomed into His eternal kingdom.
Even now, believers are called sons and daughters of God—a royal priesthood, loved and chosen by Him. And one day, we will stand with Christ in glory, fully sharing in the inheritance He secured for us through His blood.
What an incredible truth: Jesus not only saves His people, He shares His kingdom with them.
ME 5-15-26
“All who believe are justified.” —Acts 13:39
Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.
Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus is forgiven and made right with God immediately—not someday in the future, but now. The moment a person trusts Christ completely, they are fully accepted by God.
The thief on the cross was justified the instant he looked to Jesus in faith. Years of service did not make Paul more justified than that dying thief. Both stood equally forgiven through Christ alone.
Right now, believers are pardoned, cleansed, and accepted before God as if their sins had never existed. Scripture declares, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” No accusation can stand against those whom Christ has saved.
What an incredible gift of grace—that even now we can live in peace with God through Jesus Christ. Because we have been freely forgiven, let us live faithfully and fully for the One who saved us.
