Without Him, There Ain't Nothin' (John 1:1-5)

Without Him, There’s No Launch (Creation) (vs.1-3)

Hebrews 1:1–2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”
Psalm 8:3 “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;”
The heavens are not only a mirror of God’s power, but of man’s insignificance.” - Spurgeon
If you see the stars, you’ll stop worshipping yourself!
Isaiah 40:12 “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand (cupping water in your hand in a stream/river), And meted out heaven with the span (thumb to pinky/9 inches), And comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure (there’s no way to understand the exact weight of all the dust in the world), And weighed the mountains in scales, And the hills in a balance?”
Colossians 1:16–17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
Consist - to be in a fixed state, to be supported and maintained (Christ is the only one keeping everything from imploding, exploding, being destroyed)

Without Him, There’s No Life (vs.4)

John 11:25–26 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
“Someday you will read in the papers that Moody is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now.” - Moody
John 10:26–30 “But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”
John 20:31 “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
Ephesians 2:1–5 “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”
A life that isn’t lived for Christ and lived with Christ is not a life worth living!
John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Abundantly - over and above, excessive, abundant, overflowing; superfluous, extraordinary
There ain’t not life like living for Jesus!

Without Him, There’s No Light (vs.5-9)

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 12:46 “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”
John 3:16–21 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
Psalm 19:1-6
nothing hid from the heat thereof
Ephesians 4:17–19 “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
Acts 9:1-6 (read)
1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
