When Pentecost Fully comes

Acts 2:1–4 NKJV
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Fully come
What is/was Pentecost?
5Oth day after Passover and for us the 50th day after Easter
The day the Holy Spirit was poured out
The 120 were there and waited until
What happened?
They were all filled...
Filled is filled, all the way full...actually overflowing full.
How can we measure our fulness?
I want Pentecost to fully come in my life...

Power

Dunamis or dynamo dynamite
Acts 1:8 CSB
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Enthusiasm

God in “entheo” expressed
Acts 2:43–47 CSB
43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. 44 Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. 45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

Newness

He makes us new and different/ bold, fearless, loving, joyful, sinful/righteous, not old, tired, board, routine, rut bound and religious
Peter’s change, Paul’s transformation, the new wine, the new creation, continuous change in us. Growth and maturity in Christ facilitated by the Holy Spirit.

Trouble

When we confront the enemy it stirs up trouble. He hid for fifty days and when He stuck his head out. Persecution, demonic attacks, growing pains...
Acts 4:1–4 CSB
1 While they were speaking to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple police, and the Sadducees confronted them, 2 because they were annoyed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. 3 So they seized them and took them into custody until the next day since it was already evening. 4 But many of those who heard the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.

Enlightenment

John 16:13 CSB
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.
He shows guides and teaches us
Peter preached and quoted scriptures that were prophesies concerning Jesus and this day. He was not a theologian, or Bible school graduate, but “unlearned and ignorant” fisherman, that was full to the Holy Ghost and enlightened by the Holy Spirit in him.

Conviction

He will deal with your sin
Ezekiel 36:27 CSB
27 I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.

Opportunities

New doors, divine appointments, daily encounters
Acts 3:1–12 CSB
1 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple for the time of prayer at three in the afternoon. 2 A man who was lame from birth was being carried there. He was placed each day at the temple gate called Beautiful, so that he could beg from those entering the temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked for money. 4 Peter, along with John, looked straight at him and said, “Look at us.” 5 So he turned to them, expecting to get something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” 7 Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong. 8 So he jumped up and started to walk, and he entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 All the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him. 11 While he was holding on to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astonished, ran toward them in what is called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Fellow Israelites, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?

Signs and Wonders

Signs point to Christ wonders make you wonder
Acts 2:19 CSB
19 I will display wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood and fire and a cloud of smoke.
Acts 2:43 CSB
43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.

Tongues

They were filled and they spoke in tongues. It is a new testament thing evidence of infilling, but for prayer and building up. They all did...
Acts 2:4 CSB
4 Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.
