Don’t Lose Your Hope

    For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

[25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Look at your Neighbor and tell them Don’t Lose Your Hope, lose your car, lose your house, lose your money and your honey, lose your health and your job.

But if you hold on to your hope, how many know you can get it all back.

If you hold on to your hope you will rise again.

In this text Paul is writing to the church at Rome, because the church at this time had become discouraged.

They are discouraged because it seems like God is taking too long to do what God said that God would do.

It’s not that they doubt God it’s not that they stop believing God but it seems like at this time they needed God to speed things up, is there any body in the room today it’s not that you are living in doubt or disbelieve but you want God to speed things up.

I mean you prayed and you fasted and you wanted God to move right now, somebody shout hurry-up God!

And it seems like God is taking his own good time.

How many of you know that God may not be there when we want but, he always on time.

So here Paul has encouraging words for them and for us today, even before J. Jackson coin the phrase keep hope alive.

Paul wrote to tell you Don’t Lose Your Hope.

Well my brothers and my sisters I wanted to give us a working definition of hope so that we will be on the same page.

You see hope is the expectation of good, shout that back at if you will.

In other words it’s not good right now, the situation is not good right now, but I expect it to get better.. is there anybody here with expectation, the situation is not good now but I expect it to get good, anybody here expect it to be good.

For hope suggest it won’t be this way all the time.

Hope says things are going to get better.

Hope says God’s got a plan and he’s working it out for you.

Hope says if you trust and never doubt God will surely bring you out, Hope says trouble don’t  last always, Hope says there is a bright side some were, Hope says that a misty morning does’t have to be a cloudy day, Hope says something good is going to happen to you, Hope says the Lord will make a way somehow, Hope says the best is yet to come, Hope says what coming is better then what’s been, Hope says it’s not over till God says it’s over, Hope says for we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, Hope says I am who God says I am.

Look at someone and say Don’t Lose Your Hope.

So on today I want to give you few things to hang your hope on.

So when you leave here i don’t care what you are dealing with you can ride on these things.

So when every the devil try to inflict or afflict you, tell you there no use you can stand on these three things.

God Can Not Lie shout that back at me.

I did not say God may not lie I say God Can Not Lie, in other word it is imposable for God to lie that means if God said it.

I had a motto and my motto was if God said it I believed it and that settled it.

But now I took that middle part out, and now I say if God said it that settled it.

For if God said it, it don’t matter if you believe it or not.

All I want to know is did God say it.

And if God said it!

He is not a man that he can lie, so if God said it!

What you need to do is get you a God said.

And how many know you don’t need but one.

Get you one good God said and stand on it don’t go nowhere you may not know the chapter you may not know verse but you know God said it.

God Can Not Lie, God said trust in the Lord, with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths.

God said blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful!

God said the lord is my shepherd I shall not want, God said my God shall supply all my needs, God said ask and it shell be given seek and you shell find knock and the door will be open somebody shout God Said!

God said no weapon formed against thee shell prosper God said he will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stay on Him.

God said but seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you.

God said I once was young but now I’m old but I never seen the righteous forsaken, Some body shout God Said!

And you don’t need but one.

Get you one good one and don’t go nowhere.

God said be ye steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

God said you meant it for evil but God worked it for my good.

Somebody shout God Said! That’s number (1) Don’t Lose Your Hope because God Can Not Lie.

Are you ready for number (2). 

 (2) is based on number (1) because God Can Not Lie We Will Not Lose.

Look at somebody and tell them We Will Not Lose!

That’s why you don’t have to wait till the battle is over you can shout now.

I’ve read the end of the story we all live happy ever after, We Will Not Lose!

We are on a winning team we have a winning captain We Will Not Lose!

Help me out Paul, yes I will help you out Madison, trouble on ever side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; I’m a winner not a loser We Will Not Lose!

Wait preacher wait a minute what if I name it and claim it, and somebody else drives off in it.

Wait a minute preacher what if I name it and claim it and somebody else moves into it, Wait a minute preacher what if I interview for it and signed the papers and somebody else gets job.

Wait a minute preacher what if I name him and claim him and somebody else walks down the aisle with him.

Baby you better start shouting and praising God!

Because anything you name and claim and don’t get, it only mean that God has something better for you.

Can I get a witness up in here.

Has anybody in here every prayed about something name it and claim it and didn’t get it and after God didn’t give it to you, you thank Him for it.

I have prayed for some dumb stuff in my life and I’m glad God didn’t give it to me, have I got a witness in here.

For how many know that We Will Not Lose.

For whatever you presence to the Lord he will bring it to pass in his own time, I wish I had a witness in here.

And He will help you to live without it until it’s your time.

I know I’m talking to somebody up in here!

Because what God has for you is for you.

Somebody ought to shout Don’t Lose Your Hope!

For you see God Can Not Lie.

We Will Not Lose.

Here is my last one and I’m gone.

(3) somebody say This Too Shell Pass, it did not come to stay.

I’m talking to somebody who is going through something right now.

I don’t care how bad that home is, I don’t care how bad those children are, how bad that marriage is, it’s got to pass.

Every bad situation has got to pass.

The storm must pass.

It did not come to stay it came to pass.

Well preacher why must I go through what I’m going through if it’s going to pass.

Well here the reason, you will never appreciate getting up until you been down, you will never appreciate getting over until you’ve been under, you will never appreciate a smile until you had to frown, you will never appreciate being free until you been bound, you will never appreciate the sun shine until you been through the rain.

This To Shell Pass, whatever you’re going through will pass.

See Paul said with perseverance you must wait on the promise of the Lord and many time as we wait on God.

we allow it to be a weight on us.

Your W-A-I-T on God was never attended to be a W –E- I- G- H- T on you.

Your W A I T on God was never attended to be a WE I G H T on you.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

[29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

[30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Your hope suggest you W A I T. W... whether the storm, wait for you have an A... anchor in Jesus.

When the roads get rough and times get dark.

You should grab you some inspiration.

You need a God said.

(wait on the lord and he shall renew your strength, a God said I will never leave you nor forsake you, a God said yea though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for tho art with me and thy rod and staff they comfort me, What you need to do is get you a God said.

And how many do know it doesn’t matter cause you don’t need but one.

Hope my brothers and my sisters is not just wishful thinking, hope is not day dreaming, hope is very much rapped in faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I often refer to hope as the neglected triplet, because when Paul said now abided faith hope charity these three we hear more about those two then we do about hope.

We hear a hold lot about faith a hold lot about love, but very little about hope, I haven’t heard to many hope songs, I haven’t heard to many hope sermons.

I haven’t read to many hope poems, because if the Devil can keep us away from hope we will dwell with hopelessness.

Today we’re going to kill a hopelessness demon up in here today.
