BIG IDEA:

The blessing of salvation brings with it the responsibility and opportunity to live for the glory of God and the good of others.

Good works that are a product of the good news, glorify God and lead others towards a faith relationship with Jesus.

  • You’re witness for God amongst others can be slowly repaired. v. 13
    • A. Salt preserves and causes thirst and taste.
    • B. God can use your failures to grow your faith and bring others to faith.
  • God has saved you from sin, so that you can shine for Him. V.14-15
    • A. Your purpose is to shine for the Savior.
    • B. Knowing your purpose provides freedom and fire (Pentecost).
    • C. You and the Church are the platform where the light of Jesus shines.
  • Being salt and light for Jesus is used by the Holy Spirit to bring people to Jesus. V.16
    • A. Good works are a result of the good news.
    • B. Good works glorify God and build His Kingdom.
