He Who is Able

While we saw last study the necessity to keep ourselves in the love of God, we see in these verses that it is only be the grace and providence of God that we can
We are accountable for our choices and strengthened by the Spirit to perform those choices
God alone is able to keep you from falling -> the child of God is strengthened by the God of all power to stay in God’s love
This is why there is no conflict with -> it is God who keeps us in His love when we submit ourselves to HimRom. 8:38-39
The God who justified us is the God who sanctifies us, and He is the God who will one day glorify us
God will present you faultless before the presence of His glory -> this is the glorification we look forward to and groan for
To be faultless before God is to be truly and completely faultless -> if you are saved, there is a day in which you will be free from sin
That is that sin will be removed from you -> the sins you have committed will be cast into the depths of the sea, as far as the east is from the west!
Justification frees from the penalty, sanctification frees you from the power, but glorification frees you from the presence
We will be in His presence with exceeding joy -> gone will be the shame, and absent will be any longing for anything else!
It is not a matter of “if”, but rather a statement of fact -> the full power of God is exercised in keeping us from stumbling and preserving our inheritance () 1 Pet. 1:4-5

Praise God

The only proper response to such a glorious truth is the praise and glorify God with thanksgiving!
Our God is the only God, and He is a wise God -> the wisdom of God is extraordinarily important
A minor lapse of foolishness on God’s part would cause all our hope to come crashing down, but we can rest assured this will not be the case
God is our Savior -> the judge, jury, and executioner of the universe is also the one who offers salvation to whosoever will
For those ensnared to their own sin, struggling with their faith, held captive by false teachers, and in need of help, God is the savior
He is the only savior, and He operates by grace alone through faith alone!
Be glory, majesty, dominion, and power -> these are things God is in possession of, and they are things which ought to move us to praise of Him
Yet most fall into the category which “esteem Him not” -> never be guilty of such an offense!
It is to the degree that He is owed such praise both now and forever -> God is the center of worship, and He will be forevermore
With the fullness of eternity at our disposal, we will not exhaust worship of God, and His grace towards us gives us a glimpse as to why that is!
With that being the case, a lifetime of good does not earn a moment of bad -> continually be faithful, and don’t let your guard down!
