13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

How do we prepare our minds for action?
Keep sober
Fix you hope on Grace that comes from knowing Christ.

be calm and collected in spirit, to be temperate, not influenced by emotions or feelings, to consider carfully looking at all possible consequences…
Sober = Clear Headed, staying away from anything that clouds the mind.
1 Peter 4:7 NASB95
7 The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
2 Timothy 4:5 NASB95
5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
