WHAT A GOD
Movie tonight The great Awakening at 5pm
Good Morning Church Family.  This month we are beginning a new series from the song “WHAT A GOD”
Today, I want to ask you, “Have you ever had a moment where something was so beautiful… so massive… so detailed… that all you could say was, ‘WOW!’?
Maybe it was standing under a sky full of stars…. OR Watching the ocean waves crash… Holding a newborn baby… Or hearing music that moved your soul.
Those moments awaken something deep inside us:
A sense that this world is too wonderful to be random.
For the next few weeks, we’re going to lift our eyes higher than our problems, higher than politics, higher than the pressure of life, and higher than ourselves… and we’re going to look at the greatness of God.
This series is called… ‘WHAT A GOD.’
Not just because God is powerful…
But because He is breathtaking in who He is, amazing in what He’s done, and overwhelming in how He loves us.
The same God who hung the stars in space…
designed the human body… painted every sunset… and formed every mountain…
And He also knows our name, hears our prayers, and cares about our life.
Today, we begin with this truth:
Creation is not just something to admire… Creation is something that points us to the Creator.
The heavens are preaching. Nature is declaring. The universe is shouting:
WHAT A GOD!!!!!
“Church Family, Before there was a Bible in print… there was a sermon in the sky.”
Psalm 19:1–6 (NKJV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race. 6 Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Church Family
1:Creation Is God’s First Sermon.
Psalm 19:1 (NKJV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Creation is not random—it’s revelation.
The sky is preaching every day.
Louie Giglio in his book “How Great Is Our God” talks about how the sun is so massive that over a million Earths could fit inside it.
That is crazy when you think that our Sun is a medium size star
Think of this, the star Betelgeuse pronounced Beetlejuice is 700 to 950 times wider than our sun and you could put 700 million to 1.2 billion of our Sun inside it.  Isn’t that wild.
If you replace our Sun with Betelgeuse it would reach out all the way to Jupiter.
Why do I bring this out. Because it says in:
Isaiah 40:12 (NLT) 12 Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?
Church Family, That means what overwhelms us… fits in His palm.
Let’s trust Him with our lives each day.
WOW! WHAT A GOD.
2: GOD’S POWER IS ON DISPLAY
Romans 1:20 (NKJV) 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
Romans 1:20 (NLT) 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
You don’t need a theology degree to see God’s power
His invisible attributes are clearly seen
Think of this, the human body has about 37 trillion cells, and each one functioning with precision.
You are not and accident, you are God’s Master piece.
Psalm 139:13–18 (NLT) 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. 17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! 18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
WOW! WHAT A GOD.
What Love the Father has for us.
3: GOD IS A GOD OF DETAIL
Matthew 10:29–30 (NKJV) 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
He knows the number of hairs on your head.
The God of galaxies, is the God of details
God know’s the very number’s of hair’s on everyone of us, and He still know’s our names.  WOW! WHAT A GOD.
4: CREATION REVEALS GOD’S CREATIVE NATURE
In Genesis 1 – “And God said…”
God didn’t struggle, He just spoke
Diversity in creation shows His creativity
Snowflakes—no two are identical
*God never repeats Himself, but He’s always consistent
The wonder’s of this world alone will take us trillion’s of years to discover, and there are trillion’s of world’s out there.
WOW! WHAT A GOD.
5: CREATION SHOULD LEAD US TO WORSHIP
Psalm 95:6–7 (NKJV) 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. 7 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:
Quote: “Awe is the doorway to worship.”
Psalm 100:1–3 (NKJV) 1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
6: IF GOD CAN HANDLE THE UNIVERSE—HE CAN HANDLE US
Jeremiah 32:17 (NKJV) 17 ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
Nothing is too hard for Him
Sometimes I wonder, “We might not be asking too much, we might be asking too little.”
Our Father Cares for us and has the best inshore for us.  Let’s let Him be a Father to us and we His children.
Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NLT) 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”
So tonight, or any night, when you see the star’s, just look up and say.  “WHAT A GOD!”
