Esther Chapter 8

8:1-2 (Given the House of Haman)

-King Ahasuerus gave Queen Esther the house of Haman

-Queen Esther finally reveals her connection to Mordecai

-The King gives Mordecai his signet ring

-Esther sets Mordecai over the house of Haman

8:3-6 (Esther Pleas For Her People)

-Esther falls to the King’s feet and pleads for her people

-The King extends his golden scepter once again

-Esther asks to revoke the King’s letters against the Jews

8:7-8 (Esther Given the King’s Power)

-The King gives Esther a portion of his power

-Esther is allowed to write a new decree

-The King’s edict that has been sealed could not be revoked

8:9-14 (The New Decree For The Jews)

-The King’s scribes are summoned

8:15-17 (The Jews are Overjoyed)

Overall Message:

God gives us the tools to fight our battles

He didn’t stop the attack, he strengthened their courage
