Luke 24:33-53

The CSB translation titles this section of Scripture as “The reality of the risen Jesus”. And as we read through it we get to read the response and reaction of the disciples to this new reality. And today we get to, for the first time or the fiftieth time, give our students the opportunity to respond to this same reality. But in addition to our students response we also are given today an opportunity to respond to the reality of the risen Jesus, even for the hundredth, or thousandth, or ten thousandth time. And we are invited to respond today by remembering how this new reality has changed and shaped our lives up to this day. Sharing the gospel for all of us has at times left us troubled or full of doubt in our own ability with speech, charisma, or our knowledge, but Jesus’ words that we have just read can stabilize our hearts and minds as we remember how our lives have been shaped and changed by this reality.
