I’ve had the privilege of being Emery’s youth pastor since he was in 6th grade and got to watch him grow over the years.

I wanted to share a memory from our missions trip to Alaska during the summer of 2024.

· This trip was a challenge for Emery – doubted whether or not to go, struggled with being away from friends and his family, this was very much outside of his comfort zone – from my perspective, this trip stretched and pulled Emery significantly.

· While it wasn’t perfect and we had a couple moments at the beginning of the trip 😊 I was impressed with his willingness to lean in and trust not only myself, but more importantly the Lord throughout the trip.

· It was so cool to see how the Lord worked in and through Emery throughout the trip and to see the transformation in Emery from reluctant and unsure to fully confident and reliant on the Lord to guide him.

Emery, my hope is that you remember the Lord’s provision in that trip as you move forward in life.

Lean into every situation and experience you are faced with

Fully trusting that the Lord will give you what you need and to show you where to go.

Knowing with confidence that He will lead you and guide you in everything - and His way is so much better, not necessarily easier or what you want, but so much better man.
