Gifts of the Holy spirit

What are they and How do the work? What are they For?

1 Corinthians 12:4–11 KJV 1900

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Severally=’s separately, individually, or Independently, rather than as a group or collectively.

Word of wisdom; word of future events or and answer of what your next steps should be.

Word of Knowledge; Things of the present or past knowledge of what has or is going on at the present time.

Gift of Faith; crazy faith one that can believe God for anything at any time in any situation.

Gifts of healing; Healing is something that was working correctly but is currently not operating as it should.(something we need to understand about this.)

Working of miracles; Something that can be done only by Gods intervention.

Gift of Prophesy; Insight into ones life Often mixing in with both the word of wisdom and word of knowledge. But giving a definite outcome.

Discerning of spirits; The ability to see into the supernatural to see if someone is influenced by the Holy spirit or a Demonic entity. or a human action.

Divers kinds of tongues; This is someone who God will give the ability to give a message to a particular group of people in a tongue that is straight from God, through the Holy Spirit.

Interpretation of Tongues; this is the ability to receive a message from the holy spirit with the knowledge and understanding of what the message in tongues was saying.

Mark 16:17–18 KJV 1900

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

James 5:14–15 NLT

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Acts 2:38–39 NLT

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”

We don’t get to choose !!!!!!

1 Corinthians 13:8–10 KJV 1900

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Charity =’s love

When the time has come prophecies shall be useless

wether there be tongues they will stop.

your knowledge is useless and no good anymore.

when that which is perfect is referring to the coming back of Jesus and the Rapture or catching away of the saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 NLT

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Corinthians 15:51–52 NLT

But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown.
