The King Who Was Rejected Will Return as the King Who Reigns

And one Question left me in deep thinking. Am i effectively making progress?

Are you becoming day by day like camel.?

Remember our God rain down manna from heaven. also Quail

Exodus 16:13 “13 In the evening quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning dew lay around the camp.”

He can provide today also if you believe that by faith

It is true that we are living in a world filled with sin, and the times are becoming increasingly dark and corrupt.

Yet, as believers, we rejoice that we are living under the grace of God.

However, there is a danger that some Christians, after learning about grace, become numb to their habitual sins and lose their sense of holy fear before God.

Romans 6:15 “15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!”

Grace was never given to make us comfortable with sin; it was given to free us from its power.

Therefore, let every believer examine his heart.

The Jesus who came the first time in humility,

riding on a donkey, enduring mockery, rejection, and the cross, is not returning in the same manner.

He will return in glory, majesty, and power as the righteous King and Judge of all the earth.

Today is the day of grace, repentance, and mercy.

But the day is coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Therefore, let us not take God's grace lightly, but live in holiness, reverence, and readiness for the glorious return of our King.

Introduction

Zechariah presents two pictures of the Messiah. In verse 9, we see Jesus in His first coming—a humble King riding on a donkey, rejected by men and suffering for sinners.

In verse 10, we see the same King in His second coming—not in weakness, but in power and glory, establishing His kingdom and bringing peace to the nations.

The world saw Jesus as weak when He came the first time. But the day is coming when the whole world will see Him as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Text: Zechariah 9:9–10,

I. The First Coming: The Rejected King (Zechariah 9:9)

"See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey."

Jesus fulfilled this prophecy when He entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey (Matthew 21:4–5).

During His first coming:

He was dragged before Pilate and Herod (John 18:28–29; Luke 23:7–11).

He was slapped and insulted (John 18:22).

He was mocked and ridiculed (Matthew 27:27–31).

He was scourged and wounded (John 19:1).

He was judged and condemned by sinful men.

The King of Glory allowed Himself to be rejected so that sinners could be saved.

Application: Christ came the first time to offer salvation. The question is: Have we received Him as our Savior and King?

II. The Second Coming: The Victorious King (Zechariah 9:10)

The same Jesus who came humbly will return gloriously.

1. Military Power Will Be Removed

"I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem."

The horse and chariot symbolize military strength and human power.

When Christ returns,

No army, government,

or earthly power will be able to stand against Him.

Human pride and military might will be brought to nothing.

2. Weapons of War Will Be Broken

"And the battle bow will be broken."

The battle bow represents weapons used for conflict and destruction.

Jesus will bring an end to warfare and rebellion. Every force that opposes God's kingdom will be destroyed. (Isaiah 2:4)

3. Peace Will Be Proclaimed to the Nations

"He will proclaim peace to the nations."

The peace offered at His first coming will be fully established at His second coming.

This peace is not merely the absence of war; it is complete reconciliation under the rule of Christ.

4. His Kingdom Will Be Universal

"His rule will extend from sea to sea."

No earthly kingdom has ever ruled forever. Every empire has risen and fallen.

But Christ's kingdom will have no end. His authority will reach every nation, tribe, and people.

III. Every Knee Will Bow Before the King

Philippians 2:9–11 declares:

"At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth."

Those who mocked Him will bow. Those who rejected Him will bow. Those who denied Him will bow. Every ruler, every leader, every nation, and every person will bow before Jesus Christ.

The Pilate who judged Jesus will bow before Jesus. The Herod who mocked Jesus will bow before Jesus. Every corrupt leader and every proud heart will bow before Jesus.

No one will be able to ignore His authority on that day.

Conclusion

At His first coming, Jesus rode on a donkey. At His second coming, He will come in glory.

Revelation 19:11 “11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.”

At His first coming, He was judged by men. At His second coming, He will judge all mankind.

At His first coming, He was mocked. At His second coming, He will be worshiped.

At His first coming, He came to save. At His second coming, He will come to reign.

Today is the day of grace.

The King who once came in humility now offers salvation. But the day is coming when He will return in power and glory.

Therefore, let us submit to Him now willingly, before every knee bows before Him inevitably.

The King who was rejected will return as the King who reigns.
