Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – It is a picture of Christ and his Bride, the church.

Football, Basketball, the Weight room,  friends over after games to jump in the hottub, coaching together this last year, Jenni working hard at school becoming a Deanslister who (unlike us)  never got B’s…but all of these things were simply the side hustle… We had as a family had a greater purpose;

If I asked you what is the chief end of man you would answer: 

The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

This was always the chief end of our family…it's why we did what we did, its why we do what we do…

This also the Chief end of Marriage

25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[a] 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. 33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

David: At this time, we recognize the Ring Sponsors, who hold a place of deep meaning in the lives of Jeremías and Jennifer. Entrusted with the safekeeping of these wedding rings, they bring forward the physical symbols of a lifelong promise—tokens of love and commitment that they have graciously chosen to gift to the couple today.

Padrinos de Lazo

At this time, we welcome the Padrinos de Lazo, the wedding lasso will be placed around Jeremiah and Jennifer. This cord symbolizes the infinite nature of love, a sacred bond that encircles them today and ties their futures together forever. May it serve as a reminder that they are no longer two, but one, bound by love and the support of those who stand by them

Pronouncement

In as much as Jeremiah  and Jennifer have consented together in marriage before this company of friends and family and have pledged their faith – and declared their unity by giving and receiving a ring – are now joined.

by the power vested in me by the State of Michigan and and as a minister of the Good news of Jesus Christ, I now 

pronounce you man and wife – What God has joined together let no man place asunder

You may now kiss the bride.
