there was great mourning and fasting and sitting in sack cloth and ashes
sack cloth and ashes was a sign of intense greif and loss
we see in this chapter where Mordecai tells Queen Ester to go in the King and beg for Her Peoples lives
but in those days if you went to the king without being called you could be put to death
verse 15 Queen Esther Commanded all the people to fast and pray for her 3 days
queen Ester said And i will go to the king if i perish i perish
Now the motive of queen esther was quite contrast to Haman she was putting her life on the line FOR HER PEOPLE
Queen Esther was willing to do all this for her people Her motive was serving her people
Esther 5
we see God was with Queen Esther as she went in to the King and the king held out the Golder Scepter
ansd asked what is thy request oh Queen Esther
Verse 7 and 8 we see she invited the king And Haman to a Banquet
verse 9 Haman was happy to be invited to what he thought was an important meeting
Till he Saw Mordecai then he was hurt becaus he had money and riches But What he really wanted was respect from Mordecai
But Mordecai woudnt respect him because Hamans Motives where evil
verse 11 and 12 Bragging about his riches and status and position = Terrible Motive ALL About Self
verse 13 Offended eveytime he saw Mordecai
14 Build Gallows Hang Mordecai On them Remove Your Problem And go joyfully to The Banquet
This was the advice of his wife and friends
Do we have friends with Positive Motives ARE WE friends with positive Motives
This Pleased Haman So He Had Them Built
Esther 6 history books were read and found that Mordecai wasnt honoured for saving the kings Life
What shall we do to honor Mordecai
verse 6 through 10 Who would the king want to Honor more than me Look at the motive Of Haman do all these things to Me
And then the king says Do All this to MORDECAI
Wow What do you think went through Hamans mind ??
It doent say but im imagining things like
Are you serios right now I Hate Mordecai now i must honor him
This is terrible im suposed to be the honored one
verse 12 Haman went home crying with his head covered not so proud now ???
Esther 7
we see they the king and Haman go to Queen Esters Banquet
verse 3 to 6 Esther explains what Haman is Trying to do
verse 7 Haman was Begging Queen Esther for his life
Begging the very person he was trying to destroy
verse 9 Harbonah tells the king about the Gallows Haman made with evil intent to Kill Mordecai
So the king ordered Hamon to be hanged on his own Gallows
Hamans Evil motive cost him his very own life
Queen Esthers positive Motive of a serving heart doing it for her people saved the lives of thousands of people
quite a contrast of outcome
positive motive = Life
Negative Motive = Death maybe not Physical Death but we can kill those around us if we give off negative Vibes and motives
