The Bible
There isn’t a course you can take called God 101, where when you are done, you know everything there is to know about god. People have near had the opportunity to interview God to find out what he’s like. However, God has taken the initiative to reveal to us who He is and what He’s like. When we read the Bible, we are reading God’s letter to us about himself and what he expects of us.
In this study, we will answer the following questions about the Bible.

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
The translation of 2 Timothy 3:16 says the Bible is “God Breathed.” Although the exact mention is unknown, the entire Bible is God’s thoughts given to us through people. The bible claims to be inspired. Notice carefully that it doesn’t say the Bible is inspiring. Inspired (literally meaning God Breathed) means that God spoke through the writers of the Bible to communicate absolute truth to us. This truth includes things about himself, people, and life (both present and eternal life).
We don’t know exactly what method God used to inspire men to write his Word, but we know He didn’t use hypnotism or trances. You can be certain that because God inspired the Bible, it is the primary source that can accurately help you to get to know Him better. Other books may be helpful, but if they conflict with the Bible, at any point, it is the Bible that must be trusted as the final authority.
Read 2 Peter 1:20-21 and give two facts that you can learn where it’s at.
20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, 21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
Read 1 Thessalonians 2:13. Check the Box that indicates what was special about these people.

13 Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.
They loved each other.
They believed Paul’s teachings were from God.
They gave money.
They did their own thing.
Because the Bible came from God, it’s true. And because it’s true, it’s trustworthy. God back to question #3 and answer the questions again, placing a triangle around what you now believe to be true.

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

4 Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

24 As the Scriptures say, “People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. 25 But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.
