Our perspective because our perspective and we've been looking at storms over the last week and this week and I got my title for my work today. Peace be still, who likes an argument, who likes an argument. Nobody Some people making some people enjoy one or two people getting pointed at now and now we know our neighbors. Okay, it manually. Thank you got your hand up.

But you know, but you can still have peace in the midst of an argument. Just sometimes I argue with goat. Do you argue with. Sometimes? What are you doing. Why you doing this? Why? That's not my plan and goes. You're right? That's not your plan. It's my plan is coming my wires. Rob was hinting at and so I want to encourage us to be still because you know what, one of the things is, if the outside is a stormy and we allowed to get inside it, stay stormy for longer I'll say that. Again, if the outside of storm and we allow inside it, stay stormy for longer

I don't know whether you ever been in a tent in the storm. I used to love backpacking. I took Judy a few times in my very, very small tent and she said he's they say it. I said, yes, this is it, this is the tiny. I just did offer him to get inside but I tell you what, when it blows when it's windy, when it's raining everything rifles, if you ever been in a hurricane or tornado, when you wonder whether the reef is going to stay on your house. You know, what a real storm is. So I want to ask Festival. I'll storms inevitable. Austin's inevitable. And I want to say yes they are. I'm going to say yes they are, let me read from 4:39. If you want to bring that up, please, at 4:39 these things. I have spoken to you. That in me you may have peace, God promises, peace in the world, you will have tribulation translate storms if you want to be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Christ's presence does not promise trouble-free in Frank's. Sometimes, when we stand at my side on the Christian something it's a bit like putting a cross on your back or putting it on your chest and everybody comes at you.

But you know what? Sometimes that's good. Let me give you an example. I used to work with a very I used to work with a stylus to write to write a very rich vocabulary. Can I put it that way? You know what I mean that with lots of words with four letters in them and what do you want you to motivate the team? That would be more four-letter words. and I sat in the room, sometimes I just thought I don't find this helpful anyway, you started using my savior's name in Vine. It started using that in the in the room and I didn't say I'm a Christian stop doing that. I didn't even say, please don't do that. We came to a coffee break and I waited until he was at the coffee machine and I went and tried to make myself a cup of tea. Now, you need to know that. I don't drink tea. So I'm standing trying to make you a cup of tea. Next to him is making a cup of coffee. Okay, it's not cuz I want a cup of tea, it's cuz I want to stand next to him. So I'm standing next to him pretending to like a cup of tea. I might, I might just have to tell you about the way the name you keep on using is precious to me and every time you use it the way you use it, it hurts, man. Upsets me, I need to look to me and I'm still staring down in my cup of tea. I wasn't looking. I didn't want to confront him. I wanted to be gentle, I just said it really hurts me, so tell you, I'm really sorry. Didn't say anything more. Until about 20 minutes into the meeting. You after, we had the coffee break, he went home and then he turned to me when sorry. Dave, You did not even set the word. It just the words started to think about saying it and then turned to me and said, oh sorry, Dave, That's a Target on me suddenly. He's acting out the rest of the room. Has no clue what's going on. Lights are on even sorry, Dave. 10 in the afternoon in the different, it's the same team. Somebody else leaving the meeting, somebody who'd caught his habit of using four letter words. So, I've never spoken to this gentleman about this and you guys home. Sorry, Dave. Do you know what? We could be a catalyst for change but sometimes we need to be willing to be in the storm. Sometimes, we need to be willing to be out there and guessing where every life meets the storm. Jesus radionics, in John, 16 Verse 33 says this. These things I have spoken to you that in me. You may have peace in the world. You will have tribulation but of good cheer. I have overcome the world. It's a different version of those, same thing, but it's ready. What encourages us cuz Jesus is always there. He says there is going to be trouble. But find peace in May.

Anybody ever had bad news?

Shirley everybody time should be at that somewhere. Somehow we've all had five. Now what was our response when he got the bad news? Oh, why me? Why not now

Jesus says, I will bring you peace. I have come that you might have peace. We know the story of the disciples in the boats in Mark Chapter 4 verses 35 to 41. Mark, Chapter 4 verses 35 to 41.

Okay? You don't know where your office is scripture. Okay, let me tell you the story, then they're in the boat as a school that comes. He's a fisherman together. He's a fisherman together. And there are three things that happen here that I want to call out. I think they're on the slide, three things. That's a come on. Jesus says, Be Still. That reads Kyle's. There is a store and then what follows? Because of the command to the storm is peace, cam. storms, even when we are being obedient to the father,

God's will isn't a guarantee of a trouble-free life.

The storm is often in the why of all destination.

Think about scriptures that talk about mountains. And sometimes you say Mountain, I'm going to climb you. I've got to get round you. What's the song We Sing, it's too high, get over to load, get under it. Wonderful, love the mountain does not disappear but sometimes God gives us the moments in the words to say Mountain be moved. But the mountain doesn't disappear. It just moves cuz he's no longer an obstacle. That's that's the illustration. We typed that mountain. No longer becomes an obstacle sometimes, go to lift us up. Sometimes God takes us through some tight. Tom Scott, Texas round.

I want to say to you. Jesus he's in your boats. Jesus is in your boat, some 46 verses 1 and 2 say this. God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear even though the Earth give why

Under the mounting to be carried into the midst of the sea.

Yeah. People being an earthquake's plates, falling off the edge of the shelf on the wall, and but you know what? Often when there's a earthquake happening, is a mountain being removed. I'm a geologist, I think there's a couple of other gel is used in the room. Are you had the privilege of setting off explosions in Scotland to do seismic surveys? I set some explosions off when we got some seismic waves and we we measure things under the ground when an earthquake happens there is a wave that shakes things and it shakes things and so I don't want to say it will not happen because sometimes things need to be shaken. There are many many buildings in places like San Francisco and Tokyo that have been earthquake tested. And I will bill as models and then they will shake them on these shaking plates and see whether they catch Reggie nearing students in the room for engineering students, listing lights, are or even now. It's a great thing to be at a builder, a mobile. So I mean you might have done this before and then you shake things and you see whether it. One or not, It gets tested and if it passed the test, that it probably gets built because that new model his is something that works Jesus is in your boat. In Mark, Chapter 4 verses 39 and 40. I want to encourage us to think that Jesus just needs to say one word. Just one word from the Savior changes, everything.

Peace, be still.

Psalm 4:30.

4:30 on 42 do not put that carries. Okay, that's my that's my iPad typing then. Okay.

All peace is circumstantial.

But it's Christ's and ice for a circumstance. Because if we allow price to be in our midst, he is our peace. We receive from him, not just a feeling, nice and peaceful. And sometimes, you can't feel that you can go and sit by Virginia, Woolf till like, and if you can find a spice with his nobody else, you can no peace. But that's not the kind of things. I need somebody have to come along with a couple of noisy children or somebody playing a loud music and something to your piece is gone. Do you know what? When we can when we got peace inside. I don't know whether you can do it, but I can sign out from times. I can be sitting in a Rudy noisy room and lichen zone out and people say, did you not notice teenagers experts to this? Albino. What currency has to take digest maybe husbands or wives we go today as well. What you listening? What did I just say?

Absolutely. Peace is in a person and his name is Jesus. He is our pace.

He's an anchor for our soul. And there's the thing, the scriptures that talk about being an anchor, an anchor is something that holds up to something. If you ever try to put your anchor down in the storm, there's a storm again, but they got to grasp hold of something solid. If it just drags along, then you will be carried by the storm.

I want to encourage us today to trade anxiety for prayer. Surprise attacks. A guy want to give you trade anxiety for Presley, choose to stop worrying. Some of you might say, yes, but ladies don't understand so much going on right now. How can I choose to stop worrying? The first thing we need to do is just like all I'm going to trust you with this. I'm so the water moves from me back to God and say, okay, and then God looks down on us and I'm sure he says to us. Okay, tell me about it. Tell me about it. Be still and fix your mind because you will find perfect peace. Shalom. Shalom. when we stay on our minds on God, free still, that's part of the letting go is to stop striving with something. I don't know whether you have a scratched yourself when you got Skype.

Maybe some people got one right now, maybe you got a child and what what what do we do when we got a Skype? Cuz that's a sign of healing. A scab is a sign of heaney's. Barrebody is rebooting itself, is healing over the the sky and the plane. But what do we do? We scratch cuz it itches and then we scratch them more. And then we make it bleed.

I want to be as parents say to a children. Stop scratching. Sometimes we need to put cream on it to stop the itching cuz otherwise we will scratch it and then maybe it won't go away. It's the same thing with God. Sometimes we need to just let go and let God inside my console. This but you can like leave it with you when we go. When we place it at his faith and that we carry on for a few steps, maybe a few hours and then we got home. Let me take it back and see whether I can fiddle with it, whether I can scratch it, it whether I couldn't make it feel better. Note to self. I used to watch, make it feel better cuz scratching when we go to scab. Makes it feel better for a moment, but he's not good for us. So trade, your anxiety for pry. Take it back to God. And how do we do that? While we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus? Pizza boats on the water as a disciple in the Bible. Peter walked on the water and the cat is fixed on Jesus. He didn't sink.

So when the trouble comes when, when striving comes, when the storm comes, let's not look it up. Let's look up sometimes storm, surprise you sometimes trouble is frightening, but you know what, let's look beyond that to Jesus and get a right perspective.

Whilst he looked at Christ. He walked on water and easy. It's very very, very easy here to get critical of Pisa. They say you can't even walk on water. I got to be honest. And say, what about all the other disciples in the boat? Well, I know where would you be? Would you be sitting in the boat? Say nothing. It's a bit. Looks a bit, unsafe out that way. I don't do well to walking sorry. That's somebody else's Ministry. Sometimes people say that I don't do that I don't pray for people somebody else to Springfield people. What happens if you're the only person that

good looks for our availability or ability and sometimes he wants to use us in moments in the storms. So let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

Cuz here's the thing. What do you want? Tell Melissa and he started to sing. What did he do? He didn't turn around to go. I'm going back to the boat. He said, Jesus save me. Jesus, save me. So, let's keep our eyes fixed on. Jesus has something to take home. I'd like to first thing you to do is the name, your storm. I don't know whether you noticed but when storms coming to the UK, like at 9, we got through a cycle of IEPs and I'm beginning with Ivan and I'm beginning with pay Amigos Raquel's times and then we get to the end, we go back again and we do boys things and anybody remember storm storm Katrina

And that there are lots of storms that happened in life. Give me a 9. This is my, this is my work storm for this week. Stop make it to postal. Then cooled it. Somebody's name. I called it Dave, storm stormy, Dave. I thought think I'm still me, but who knows?

His name, it Festival. Then pray before you panic. So, sometimes we can look at the situation and we can say that doesn't look good.

Before we allow it to overwhelm us. Let's pray before we start to panic. When's David looked to Goliath and he had to five things, you said, I'm going to take him down. I'm sure the closer we got to glass. the bigger, the storm, the bigger, the John looked Yeah, and the clothes you got you might start thinking it was like a big storm. It didn't look so big yesterday, but it looks bigger today. So now you may pray before you panic anchor on the promise, John 14 verse 27. Anchor on the promise. What's the promise? He is our peace and keep your eyes fixed on him.

The Lord of Peace will give you peace.

The same. Jesus, you said to the water, peace be still on the storms. He's in your boat. I'll say that again the same Jesus who walked on water who also, I spoke I know the two different stories. I'm blowing two stories together but that both of Jesus that both boats in that post with the disciples. Jesus said, peace be still he's in your boats. And if you invite him to respond, he will.

So, I mean, sure, I'm going to ask you to close your eyes in a moment. I'm just going to think about I'm weak. Oh, maybe a month if you want to be halfway through Jane, when Eddie coming up to halfway through the year, would you believe coming up to the summer solstice? Come out to the longest day of the year Sunshine hours.

Where is 2026 gum?

But some people right now, I'll write in the midst of a storm.

I do that mean in the midst of a storm, like if you ever been in a hurricane, you get the outside wins and then you get to the eye of the storm and quite often the middle of the storm. It's completely silent. Completely still can hear the Roar of the wind may be a little bit but it's not the actual storm itself cuz you're in the eye of the storm. But the storm is still there. I want to encourage you. Look at your stoneface, you stole 9 your storm and I'm going to pry.

I'm giving you a little bit of time him to coat it for yourself. What do you want a Kalisto? Mary or stomping alipayo. Hurricane Henrietta. Whatever it is you want to call it? Please.

Let's lean into God and allow Jesus to do what he's Best Buy.

I'm going to speak to some particular thing, so let me know. I'm a few that I prayed about. I sense that people are wrestling with diagnosis and treatment and stuff going on. The doctors, say it, You're wrestling with that storm. What's the future going to be like and there's a whole set of questions about the future. Will I walk with a limp? I might be able to smell.

What will that mean for the quality of living?

Name your storm men and women named used on children, to name a storm at school and you've got a storm in relationships as somebody thought was your best friends and suddenly, they seem to change, seem to change shape. They said they become a bit scary, a bit of a monster, a bit of a storm themselves. Already struggling with what was your best friend? Doesn't seem to be your best friend anymore. 9News storm and we're going to pry. I'm finally, there's another storm where identity is something that cracks out and that we Are Who We Are.

So, having nine geostorm, if there's a storm that you wants to bring to Jesus, there's a storm that you want to say piece, you want him to say, peace, be still with you. Stand with your listing at home with your listing in the room by the listing lights are. If at least moment, you have a storm you've named, are we going to bring it to Jesus right now, whatever your storm is? You know, I don't need to know. Well, I know he says storms out there like I'm confident there'll be people standing. I don't even like my eyes. I, I am standing Nothing because I'm preaching. I'm standing because I've got a storm going on.

I saw a father last week named off thumbs-up. We recognize the trouble that we're in, as we've recognized the mountains that need to be moved. Father. We named it, we face it. And then we choose to look at you. We choose to take our eyes off the storm and look at you. InTouch, even if I say this, I see Jesus smiling back at you saying, thank you for trusting me with us. Thank you for letting go of this and letting me have my way.

Thank you for not allowing it to overwhelm you.

For, I am bigger than your storm. I am bigger than your trouble. I am bigger than your mouth. That's not Jesus. He says, I am bigger than these things. I'm so Lord, we pray that you would speak into our circumstances in all situations, peace be still.

Peace. Bestow.

And I'll say it one more time. Peace, be still.

Jesus says, I am your peace. I bring you peace, I am at peace, make a you all peace, make us walk in peace, despite the storm

And allow his peace to fill us.

To restore us. Enter Anubis. In Jesus name. Almond.
