Introduction

Image

It is an amazing thing to see when the Holy Spirit takes someone and really turns their whole life upside down.

Sermon in a sentence:

The Holy Spirit takes weak things and makes them strong.

The Strong Made Weak (vs. 1-7, 13-18)

The same people that hated Jesus obviously hated the disciples.
The actions of the religious leaders were brought about by their discipleship.

The Weak Made Strong (vs. 8-12, 19-31)

(v. 8) Peter and the beggar are totally different men in the familiar situations.
The place where Peter was weak and denied Jesus has become the place were Peter is bold.
The beggar was used to being around the temple, but not inside.
(vs. 32) The disciples are emboldened to speak God’s Word with boldness.

Application

Repent and believe in Jesus Christ.
Pray for boldness to disciple others.
