Intro: The Hebrew word for blessed means to be happy or in a state of prosperity because of the favor bestowed by God himself. # (835)=/ ashre/ Seasoned years are the years when you can reflect how great God has been to you from the time of your youth through your advancing years in life. Everything I’m reading in God’s word is opposite from the mainstream or natural thoughts. The seasoned years according to God’s word depicts :
cheerfulness
flourishing still..... (prosper/thrive)
yielding fruit still.... (hair is grey) — beard
Increase
bringing forth— utterance
still producing!! / like a tree is full of sap… flowing
honor
respect
leadership
Yes, we all will decline in some physical aspects, but having seasoned people in the congregation is a symbol of blessing from God!
