Scriptures
Luke 5:18–20 “Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.””
Mark 2:1–12 “And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!””
Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
(Strong, Spirit-Filled, With Love)
There are seasons in life when people become too weak to carry themselves. Some are paralyzed by sickness, others by grief, depression, addiction, fear, shame, disappointment, or spiritual battles. Many people who once walked strongly with God now find themselves unable to take another step. They know where healing is found, but they no longer have the strength to get there.
In Luke 5, four unnamed men saw their friend lying helpless on a bed. He could not walk. He could not carry himself. He could not even get to Jesus by his own ability. Yet God gave him something precious—friends whose faith refused to quit.
When they arrived, the house was full. Every doorway was blocked. Every seat was taken. Every natural way seemed impossible. Lesser faith would have turned around and said, "Maybe another day." But these men had a faith that carried. They climbed the roof, removed the tiles, and lowered their friend down into the presence of Jesus.
And the Bible says something remarkable:
"When Jesus saw THEIR faith…" (Luke 5:20).
Jesus saw the faith of those who carried him.
Sometimes God heals people because of the faith of others standing in the gap. There are mothers carrying sons in prayer. Fathers carrying daughters before the Lord. Husbands carrying wives. Wives carrying husbands. Churches carrying broken families. Intercessors carrying communities. Evangelists carrying lost souls. Grandparents carrying grandchildren.
Many people are where they are today because somebody refused to give up on them.
Perhaps you are saved because someone carried you.
Maybe a mother prayed when you were rebellious.
Maybe a grandmother fasted when you were lost.
Maybe a pastor kept believing when everyone else gave up.
Maybe a friend kept inviting you to church.
Maybe someone stood in faith when you couldn't stand for yourself.
Faith that carries others is one of the greatest expressions of Christ's love. Jesus Himself carried us. He bore our sins upon the cross. He carried our burdens. He became our Great High Priest who continually intercedes for us.
The church must become that kind of people. We do not abandon people when the sun goes down. We do not give up on people because their battle has lasted a long time. We carry them in prayer. We carry them in faith. We carry them to Jesus.
Because sometimes people cannot carry themselves—but faith can.
And when faith carries others into the presence of Jesus, miracles happen.

CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
There are people all around us who cannot carry themselves.
Some are broken.
Some are weary.
Some are lost.
Some are one prayer away from breakthrough.
God is looking for men and women who will say:
"Lord, I will carry them."
I will carry my children.
I will carry my spouse.
I will carry my church.
I will carry my city.
I will carry the lost.
And perhaps one day, when we stand before Jesus, we will discover that someone entered Heaven because we refused to stop carrying them.
ALTAR CALL
ALTAR CALL
"Lord Jesus, give me the heart of the four men who carried their friend. Make me a burden bearer. Teach me to pray for those who cannot pray. Teach me to love those who are weak. Give me faith that refuses to give up. Help me carry my family, my church, and my community into Your presence. Use me as a vessel of hope and restoration. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen." 🔥🙏
