Jeremiah 1:4-8
The world defines success as how much stuff you can acquire, how high you can climb up the ladder, and how many people know your name.
Kingdom success is about impact. What kind of impact do you leave on people’s lives? When you come into contact with people throughout the day, do they leave believing their day was better or worse?
When you go to a restaurant, and you leave, will the server remember you? Will you leave a mark on their life? When you go through the checkout line at Walmart, does your interaction with the cashier make their day better or worse?
True success is when people’s lives are better for having known you and been around you. When you live your life with that mindset, it will change the way you treat people, it will change your perspective on life and cause you to live with a greater purpose than just acquiring stuff.
Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”
But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.

Before you ever got here

Purpose - Assignment : Where Am I different??
What makes you different from everyone else? Are you mad at your ears because they cannot see? I do not get mad because Chipotle does not serve ribs.
Success comes from understanding not where you blend but where you are different. God does not need anyone else’s permission for you to embrace your difference.
If you have heaven’s agreement, you have all you need!
Called to plant a church - My mom said - too many churches here without a pastor!

In ministry, comparison is the greatest killer. If I try to be someone else, I will fall flat on my face and destroy everything God wants to build. If we try to be like every other church, we will never build what God wants to build.
When God said plant a church in a county with a hundred other churches, why would he have ever wanted me to plant one that was just like the others when so many of the others are dwindling down and even closing their doors?
Lee County needs something different. This generation needs something different and is desperately crying out for something different. They do not care about our religion, our traditions, our stained glass, our steeples. They want something real that is going to change their lives.
FORMED - Potters wheel - Before I put you on earth’s wheel and spun you and made you a body - before you ever had a body
I KNEW YOU - EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE - God experienced you in heaven before he ever put you in a body.
The passage thus presents God’s knowledge as personal, experiential, temporally transcendent, and purposefully directed toward specific callings—a knowledge that encompasses the totality of a person’s existence before they enter the world.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
Difference between when you were created and when you were made
Your life is not a random series of events. God had a plan for your life long before you ever got here!!
BORN - WOMBED - Before I put the clay in the womb
SANCTIFIED -SET APART- TO BECOME HOLY -
Holy does not mean to get everything right!
SEPARATE AND OTHER
Most people can’t pay the price of being other. The price of being other means alone. Most people will compromise their “other” to have friends.
People want to be accepted.
To be accepted, you have to become like the group you want to be accepted by and you end up compromising your “other” and your “separateness.”
God called you to be different!
Jesus said you are to be the “Salt of the earth.”
Salt that loses its saltiness is only good for the dung heap.
If I sprinkle you somewhere and you are not different enough from it to effect it, you are of no use to me.
God did not send you to become it. He sent you to wherever he sends you to be different enough from it to change it.
When I hear kids tell me they don’t go to church because of whatever reason, it is never because they do not want to know Jesus or because they do not want Jesus to change their lives. It is always because of the way people have made them feel about the way they look or the way they dress or the color of their hair or whatever it might be.
God has planted us here to be different from everyone around us so that we can reach those that have been pushed away by others.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
We often pray like we are trying to get God to do something. Prayer is not about getting God to do something.
God has already done everything He is going to do.
IT IS FINISHED! Jesus sat down
Prayer is not about getting God to do something. You have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing. Praying is moving something from one dimension to another.
God has laid out and ordained your days before you ever got here. You might be about to step into what He has already laid out for you.
In Creation, before the grass grew, everything was already in the ground to support it. Before the animals showed up, the vegetation was already there to support it. By the time man was placed in the garden, everything he needed was already there.
By the time you showed up, God already had everything here you would ever need. All you have to do is walk in it.
God has prepared your days. He has ordered your steps.
We don’t need God to move. We need God to move us!!!!
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
GET READY TO WALK IN WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY LAID OUT FOR YOU!! GET READY TO LIVE ON PURPOSE!!
