You know the voice of your parent. If you have a child or spouse, you know their voice when they call to you. These people are special to you and, for the most part, are trustworthy. When they call, your heart causes you to respond. The same is true for everyone else you hold in your heart. Before listening to them, perhaps we should evaluate whether they should be there in the first place. Protect your heart by cultivating what you hold dear. If it is good, listen to your heart when it prompts you to respond.
