Why is Paul’s message for Euodia and Syntyche important? Why is reconciliation with other christians important?

We must come to forgive those who are also in Christ and forgive one another. We are both reaching for the same mark that is in Christ and if we are in conflict that can stop ourselves and others from being able to live up to the call of Christ.

What is the treatment for Anxiety that Paul prescribes?

Paul prescribes Prayer and supplication which is similar to Jesus’ own prescription in Matt 6:33. We are to bring our needs to God and he will not only take care of our needs but will give us peace while that happens. The best thing one can do for their anxiety is pray, read their bible, spend time with other christians, and help others.

Col 3:12-17

Why does Paul remind the Philippians to think of things worthy of praise?

Because thanksgiving and gratefulness is where we gain our source of joy. The joy that he has been beating over our heads.

God’s Strength 10-13

How does Phil 12-13 affect how you see anxiety and difficulties?

Phil 4:13 is about through all of the pain and triumph it is all accomplished with the help of Christ who is the source of our strength. Paul is telling us that it is through this source that has taught him how to be content when he’s brought low and when he abounds.

4:13 The secret of living amid life’s difficulties is simple: trusting God in such a way that one can say, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. This does not mean God will bless whatever a person does.

How does Paul achieve contentment?

Through trust in God, Pray, Supplication, Joy, Thanksgiving

Why is the gift the Philippians gave Paul “acceptable and pleasing to God”?

The Gift Paul recieved was given out of pure selflessness. Paul never asked for anything from them and yet he recieved a gift anyways. This is what is acceptable and pleasing, when we give without selfish intent.
