Closing 7 Days Prayer & Fasting

Intro

We have spent 7 days of prayer and fasting from Monday to Today Sunday seeking and asking for God’s will to be manifested in our lives - Jesus prayed a particular prayer to say thy will be done in Matthew 26:42 “42 Again for the second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will must be done.”

What Do They Need To Know

Acts 10:38 “38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Doing good - doing what is effective or efficient or beneficial, affects positively. Example - multiplying bread (from hunger to abundance), sharing a meal,

The coming of Christ is to bring comfort - that he said when he sent the Holy Spirit callinghim Comforter (John 14:16 “16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”

The anointed one - to anoint is to rub with oil - in this case with power and the Holy Spirit (the power of the Holy Spirit)

healing all that were oppressed of the devil

healing - not only from sickness or injury,

but emotional pains (offenses, deceptions),

failures, et..

Healing has to do with repairing what has been damaged, destroyed.

Oppressed

To oppress, exploit, exercise power in a negative way (burden), to govern, control, or treat a person or group in a harsh, cruel, and unfair way.

Judges 6:9 “9 And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;”

By the devil - source is devilish

For God was with Him, only through the power of God can we come off the devilish oppressions. Group of men to encourage each other - the issue is there but is the solution the right one knowing that things such anxiety, fears, depressions find their roots in evil powers. most solutions provided by men are temporal (medication).

Depression sources can be environemental, genetic, biological or psychologic/personal factors (Chronic negative thinking, low self-esteem, intense self-criticism, and an ongoing tendency to be highly pessimistic can make you more vulnerable to depression.)

Poverty is a state of the spirit - can be changed to wealth. If you give a poor person money and they have not resolved the inner spiritual matter of bondage, the money will go.
