Fruit of the spirit

what does a true relaitonship with Jesus look like

those who remain in me and i an them will produce much fruit

they will know you by your fruit, not how much bible you know, not how much prophecy you speak, not your ability to teach (seven sons of sceva)

the fruit in your life is the evidence of you relationship with Jesus

how do you respond when your frustrated

how quick are you to forgive

how do you handle adversity

fruit is the eveidence of your faith

Paul says “I’ll show you my faith by my works...”

when your deeply connected to Jesus, you don’t need to prove it by telling people, people will see the evidence of your changed life and be drawn to it

“preach the gospel everywhere you go and then use words when necessary”

pride comes from the enemy

humility comes from Jesus

Jesus will never cause you to look down on people

to think your better than anyone

or give you a spirit of superiority

being teachable and humble

being able to learn from anything because wisdom cry’s out

pride blocks the heart from learning

because it says i already know

Humility is able to grow in wisdom more and more because it is teachable

pride says i know more than you

humility says what can i learn from this

pride says im right

humility says what did i miss?

i am not saying you don’t have a relationship with Jesus

i’m provoking you to grow in more areas

as we are on a journey,

some areas are refined at different times

we don’t focus on every area at the same time because that would be overwhellming

but as we grow the Lord reveals different parts of our walk with Him

so that we can continue to grow into the men and women He created us to be

the good news is we have all grown and we are not the same person we used to be

the bad news we will never be perfect and we will always have areas the Lord reveals to us as long as we stay connected to Him
