In order to let go of my past, there are three COMMITMENTS that I need to make:

I should repent of my BLUNDERS
Repentance involves FOUR things;
It involves CONFESSION I John 1:9
Confession means to AGREE with.
It involves CONTRITION (sorrow( Luke 15:21
It involves Commitment Matt 3:4-8
It involves COMMUNICATION Matt 5:23-24
I should recover from my BURDENS Psalm 147:3
Hidden hurts are MEMORIES that still cause pain when I THINK about them
The RESPONSE to my hurts
People respond to abuse in different ways:
Some people REPRESS it.
Repression leads to REGRESSION
Some people RUN from it
Some people RESENT it.
The RESOLVING of my hurts
Be honest with myself
Be honest with God Psalm 56:8
Be honest with someone I TRUST
The RELEASING of the hurtful Romans 12:17-19
When I do not release those who have hurt me, I will become BITTER
I should remember my BLESSINGS I Peter 2:9
In Christ I am CHOSEN I Peter 2:9
In Christ I am CROWNED I Peter 2:9
In Christ I am CONSECRATE (set apart) I Peter 2:9
In Christ I am CALLED 1 Peter 2:9
With God’s HELP I can let go of my past
