There are THREE myths about the Christian life that need to be corrected:

If I am a Christian, then all my problems will be SOLVED

It I am having problems, I must be UNSPIRITUAL

There is some experience in Christianity that will give me a PROBLEM FREE life

There are THREE truths that I need to remember when trouble comes

I have some GOOD COMPANY 1 Peter 2:13-17

I have a GREAT CONFIDENCE 1 Peter 2:18-20, 3:1-6

In order to move from self confidence to Christ confidence

There is CONVERSION Mark 1:17-18, Phil 1:6

There is HUMILITY Luke 5:8, Mark 8:32-33

1 Peter 5:5-6 God resists the PROUD but gives grace to the HUMBLE. Therefore HUMBLE yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may EXALT you in due time

There is the CONFIDENCE of JESUS Phil 4:13

There is ENLIGHTENMENT

Peter learned that FAILURE is not FINAL Luke 22:62

Peter learned that FORGIVENESS is FANTASTIC John 21:15-17

I have a GRACIOUS COMPANION John 21:18-19

The Lord is a tremendous HELP when trouble comes
