A Solid Foundation 1 Peter 2:1-8 J Moore 7/24/11

In order to build my life on a solid foundation, there are THREE steps that I should take:

I should ACCEPT the Lord’s CHALLENGE 1 Peter 2:1-2

Be PURE 1 Peter 2:1

Malice means EVIL CHARACTER

Deceit means TRICKERY

Hypocrisy means to wear a MASK

Envy means SADNESS at the good FORTUNE of OTHERS

Evil speaking means SLANDER

Be PURPOSEFUL 1 Peter 2:2

I should ACKNOWLEDGE the Lord’s CONSTRUCTION 1 Peter 2:4-5

God has a PLAN 1 Peter 2:4-5

He wants me to be SPIRITUAL 1 Peter 2:5

He wants me to be HOLY 1 Peter 2:5

God has a PURPOSE 1 Peter 2:5

There are THREE sacrifices I should make:

The sacrifice of my PERSON Romans 12:1

It is to be a LOVING presentation Romans 12:1

It is to be a LIVING presentation Romans 12:1

It is to be a LASTING presentation Romans 12:1

The sacrifice of my PLAN Romans 12:2

I should avoid CARNAL CONFORMATION Romans 12:2

I should accept MENTAL TRANSFORMATION Romans 12:2

I will experience PERSONAL REVELATION Romans 12:2

The sacrifice of my PRAISE Hebrews 13:15 Hab 3:17-19

I should AFFIRM the Lord’s CORNERSTONE

1 Peter 2:4,6,8

The Lord Jesus will be a STEPPING stone or a STUMBLING block 1 Cor 1:23, 8:9

In Christ I have a solid FOUNDATION
