repent, repent....
repent, repent....
God morning! Thank you Lord for this day, thank you for sharing your time with us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus/Yahushua’s holy name...We thank you that we are filled with You in Love and Grace, as we learn more and grow in Your Word, and in You. Take from us anything that may hinder our growth, and anything that is not of You, we thank you for less of us more of You.
As we see one another as brothers, and sisters, as Your children, in One Body, and One Church...Your Church, as we walk under your protection from anything not of You, or Your will, as we are filled with your Word, and still in your peace, at your feet, we are Yours’, Blessed & grateful. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, the Son & Holy Spirit.
(Thank you, for all things in Yahushua's Holy Name...we say Ephphatha, “be opened”, to hearing, and speaking the Word with the Holy Spirit..so be it. )
Remember last week we spoke of the importance of repentance first, you never know when you may perish, permanently. Everyone sins, none are good. Remember this in Mark, the story of the rich man, who called Yahushua the Good Master, and asked how he could inherit eternal life.
Mark 10:18 “18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.” This is the Christ saying this, not me, not men, the Son of YHWH, who then begins to tell him to follow the commandments, and this mans reply is “i do all these things since my youth.” Then Yahshua says, Mark 10:21 “21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”
Then this man was sad because he was wealthy. I know, loving thy neighbor as our Father does is hard, sacrificing comfort, not living the fleshly life, also hard, so how much do we Love YHWH as the 1st commandment requires. What comes first? (repentance! as Christ stated!) Mark 10:25 “25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
Do we have fruit that the Father YHWH leaves us here to bear more, are we truly in repentance, are we changing our ways, our habits, our thinking, by the renewing of our minds, being transformed to the image of His Son, living in the nature of Christ, are we His children, the chosen generation or are we the barren tree that will be cut down? (pharisees) Bearing fruit is a gatherer, but being transformed also means that you have fruit on your tree that others see, and want. The salt and light that you bring glorifies the Lord YHWH...look at what He can do, this man is different!
He is the Vine, we are the branches, are we producing fruit, at anytime, in opposition to the wordly beliefs do we stand for the Word, the Kingdom? Or will He say, I never knew you? As He told that old fox Herod, “I have work to do, and when I’m done, I will be perfected, and I will leave you all desolate, until you see me coming as the King of Kings, i the Name of YHWH! Luke 13:35 “35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
Here we see Him again teaching and showing GRACE, WHICH THEY DO NOT HAVE! It’s Moses, Moses, Moses, with these people, just as we hear today, they say...”we are the chosen people.” The jews this, the jews that...Chosen my butt, do they bring salt and light with their lineage? Help to the poor, the widow, the stranger? Without YHWH’s grace in Christ we are all extra crispy! He is about to blast them again in their hypocrisy and misunderstanding of the scriptures. They don't own the scriptures either.
7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Christ is the groom here, the wedding is His marriage to the Church, followers of the Word and Will of YHWH. They think they’re the highest, in their pride the preach and teach, but do not do the will of the Father...vipers, hypocrites, false teachers, who pride themselves in their own beliefs, traditions of men. YHWH exalts, lifts men up to Him by His grace and Mercy. Men promote for wordly things, the things of YHWH are low on their lists.
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
So, give to those who cannot give back. From the gifts that YHWH has given you, give to others, share your good fortune, or your talents no matter what they are. Matthew 13:12 “12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” Luke 12:48 “48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Proverbs 24:12 “12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; Doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works?”
15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
This is the wedding feast Christ is speaking of...the groom is here talking to His church. The first being invited are from the Abrahamic promise, a father of many nations. They’re all making excuses for their worldly affairs and interests, they’re not ready to put down their material wants, power, pride, and the lusts of this world. 1 John 2:16
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
He is now then going to call the strangers. Funny how He mentions the names of these strangers reflect the sermon on the mount, who will be in the Kingdom. Those that Love the Lord YHWH in Christ, who are amazed at being invited...wow, I can come, in all my filth as Long as I wear a proper coat...CHRIST!
We’re reminded here of Mat 22:11-14
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (HUGE)
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Back to the chosen...who is chosen, we do not choose YHWH, the one GOD He chooses us!
Isaiah 44:1 “1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; And Israel, whom I have chosen:”
Isaiah 44:8 “8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: Have not I told thee from that time, And have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any.”
Even Christ asks Peter...
Matthew 16:13–20 “13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.”
This is YHWH choosing His people, chosen from the beginning.
25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
GOD FIRST! Simple pimple, it doesn’t get any easier than that! Follow me, in my nature, be changed and not conformed to this world. Look at these things, knowledge I have taught you, use them tools in wisdom, and negotiate your understanding to be changed and finish the race, as you cannot finish it WITHOUT ME! John 15:5
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
The war is coming, YHWH will have His day, His wrath on evil, I’m the mediator, I bring you MY PEACE, for you to rest in, will you accept it or are you too prideful?! Give up your beliefs, seek me, find me, and follow me until I return. Stay in salt and light, do not lose you Faith in Me, stay vigilant, be ready … Mark 13:35
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
This is why He is first, before anyone else...He came for you, you have been chosen to hear and see the Word and the Parables of Him, to bring you home to the Kingdom. He sacrificed His life for us, will we do the same for Him and His. He says we must love YHWH, and our neighbors...
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
He calls us friends, are we willing?!
Hebrews 12:1–2 “1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Your testimony, is your walk, will it be in Christ or in this world, share your testimony, let others see your Christ nature, salt and light...in Yahshua’s Holy name...so be it!
