BIG IDEA: A personal relationship with Jesus will be privately devoted and publicly practiced.

• 1. God given righteousness should result in God glorifying acts of worship and service. V.1
• Private devotion prepares believers to publicly practice their faith.
• Good works are a result of genuine faith in Christ alone.
• 2. Practicing your faith for publicity or praise is a sin that robs God of His glory. Vs.2
• Hypocritical “faith” is all religion and no relationship.
• If you live for yourself, then you are your lord & the Lord Jesus is not.
• 3. Acts of worship and service shine brightly for God when they are humble. VS.3-4
• God rewards His children with divine grace for the present and heavenly blessings for the future.
• Faith and culture must intersect, no matter the cost.
