SERMON THEME
Main Idea (One Sentence):
God calls His people to stop dwelling on the past and trust Him to do a new work that will reveal His glory and provide for their needs.
Big Idea: The God who worked in the past is still working today, making a way where there seems to be no way, so that His people will glorify Him.
Purpose of the Sermon:
OPENING / INTRODUCTION
Hook / Attention Grabber
Grace and Peace to you on this wonderful Sunday Morning that the Lord has made and I’m so glad to be able to rejoice with you in administering the word of the Lord.
A while ago when i played video games a lot, now i have and will never be as much of a gamer as my brother, but I do enjoy playing a casual video game here and there, but at this point I had a couple of friends that I would play video games with and I was with one particular friend and one of those games that you would get through one and go through to the next level and at the end levels was what we were boss level and at the final that is your last that you would do not playing this game me and him were equally as good. I could say that I was a little bit better than him, but we both would get through all of the and when it came to the level right before the final boss, I would fail so to the point where I do you keep getting past this leveland my friend said something very stuck with friend told me do you not know the strategy and I’m like what are you talking about the strategy? He said that you cannot move to the next level and still use the same strategy and I had to ponder that think on it is a strategy to each level.
