The Lord Who Delivered Then Still Delivers Today

Text: Jude 1–25

Big Idea: Jesus is the eternal Deliverer who has always been at work in God's plan of redemption. Jude uses the Old Testament and Second Temple Jewish literature to call believers to remain faithful to Christ.

Introduction

Jude is more than a warning about false teachers.

The letter reveals Jesus as the Lord of the Exodus and draws on Jewish traditions familiar to its original audience.

Understanding these themes helps us better understand Jude's message.

I. Jesus Is the Eternal Deliverer

Jesus delivered Israel from Egypt.

The One who saves is also the One who judges unbelief.
