From Grace to Peace: Understanding the Divine Flow

The Bible always mentions grace firstand then peace. Without question grace is at the foundation of all the blessings of God

John 3:27 ESV

John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.

It is grace that is behind our salvation. It is grace which is behind our saving faith supplied so we could believe

Ephesians 2:8–9 ESV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

It is by grace we have been justified and now have peace with God

Romans 5:1–2 ESV

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to him again?

It is for this reason that it is by faith, because we must utterly depend on Him for all things

For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

God gave us His greatest right away. He didn’t hold back His very best.

Romans 8:32 ESV

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

This reveals a stunning paradox at the heart of divine love. God loves the world not because the world deserves it—the world actively opposes him—but because love is what God is. His affection flows from his nature, not from the world’s merit. The cross becomes the visible proof of this grace-saturated love: God absorbs the judgment that should fall on humanity, transforming the trajectory of those who trust him.

Every subsequent expression of grace flows from this foundational act. God’s love in grace is not abstract principle but historical reality, accomplished through the death and resurrection of Christ, and continuously offered to all who believe.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The foundation of the whole of our christian life is grace. His love for and our love for Him
