What is a saint?

Romans 1:7 ESV
To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Catholic church has taken a saint
Process of Investigation
Totally Sanctified
A miracle attributed to them, (usually two)
Can be a martyr
Co-opted
We hear the word saint and think
They’re sinners, in fact those who are walking closer to God seem even more-so aware of their sin
“I have yet to meet a Christian who is deeply sanctified and thinks they are doing well.”
Lets go even further:
Saint Paul
Saint Peter
What made them special?
Peter and Paul’s background
They would simply point to Jesus
Get this:

Saints, in the New Testament, are never deceased individuals who have been canonized by the church and given sainthood. They are living individuals who have dedicated themselves to the worship and service of the one true God as revealed through his Son, Jesus Christ.

That makes us saints
In fact to prove my point
Paul addresses the individual church’s as “Saints” in 6 of his letters:
Rom. 1:7;
1 Cor. 1:2;
2 Cor. 1:1;
Eph. 1:1;
Phil. 1:1;
Col. 1:2

So how do I live as a Saint?

Saint: coming from the Latin sanctus—meaning "holy" or "consecrated”

The same way everybody else did.
They Lived with Jesus (The word, prayer)
They Lived For Jesus (In Everything)
They Grew like Jesus (Through the Holy Spirit)

This is the goal here at young adults
